How many miles did you get out of your last set of tires?
I have a 14 Z51 with stock PSS tires which are done at 18k miles. I have been limping along dangerously on < 3/32nd since 15k on the fronts.
Backs are at 3-5/32nds.
I've been trolling the threads for new tire recommendations of which there are many. I have read a lot of old posts back to '14. A lot of people discussing what tires they witched to but most were relatively new.
Between '14 and last year the most popular replacement tires I have seen, (aka most frequently talked about found in my site search for general driving) were:
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus
Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06
BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S
(And OEM PSS of course)
Well it's 4 years later for some posts so I thought I'd ask now.
What tires did you last buy and what mileage did you get out of them before needing replacement?
Would you buy them again or something different?

I was upset with 18k. (The wife was shocked they did not last at least 60k like her SUV tires!)
Although to be fair their 30k warranty does say (in really tiny print) only 15k warranty if not rotated.
How many performance cars can rotate tires anymore?
I was looking at the DSW06 but even the mfg site does not have them in my stock sizes? So I am probably going with A/S 3Plus recommended by a lot of posters here.
Costco has them $160 off a set of 4 this week which will put them at < $1k installed.

2014.
fronts lasted about 24k,
Rears still have lots of life left
I replaced the fronts with PS AS3 + ZPs.
Turning and rolling resistance seems to be a lot lower - that is, the wheel turns easier in all driving modes.
No wheel hop on tight turns.
Significantly quieter.

Just remember, selecting tires is selecting compromise that suits your needs. The OEM MPSS ZP are high performance, which means softer compound, faster wear, more noise, but better: overall grip, heat tolerance, deflection resistant, steering feel in high speed turn. Any of the other ones on your list will slide the bar towards less performance, which means harder compound, less wear, less noise, but less performance.

Z06 Stock Tires off Showroom floor
6000 miles on the front..due to factory not being properly aligned upon delivery......never thought to spend the time or effort on a showroom Z06 costing $95,000.00 that I should have them aligned before taking it home! Still have the stock rears installed 11,599 now, am going to replace the rear at about 14,000 miles. No tracking, normal street driving...had alignment mechanic with 36 years experience align the front when I replaced them at another dealer..not where I bought it and he spent about 6 hours getting the front perfect with lots of pride in his work...and they still look new.
So these hi performance Michelins are really soft, so next time around I will go to a different longer lasting street tire, because am not doing any hi performance racing or tracking.

These cars are aligned and set up to get maximum performance at the track. The tires are extremely soft compounds. 15k is a solid life span for most.

Just ordered a new set of Pilot Super Sport ZPs for my 2016 Z51 today. You couldn’t talk me into anything else.
I’m right at 32,000 miles. Just got back from a road trip and went through quite a bit of rain. I was really impressed with the performance at this end of their life. Very little wet traction difference from new.
I rotate every oil change and drive it hard when in town. However, most of the miles were acquired on the highway.

How many miles on last set of tires?
My 2016 Z06 has 4600 miles, orig owner, never tracked garage kept in FL. I am being told by selling dealer and independent Michelin dealer that both front tires (stock Michelin PSSs) are at 3/32 and need replacing. What has happened to cause such wear (alignment is slightly out) in low mileage? I know not to expect over 14K put of these soft compounds but at 4600 miles???

Buncha grandmas in here. 3.5 track days and 5000 street miles.

35,000 on a 2014 base. Cord showing after a Route 66 visit in AZ. I could have gotten a lot more miles if the two alignments I had the dealer do used a less aggressive setup for street.... live and learn

I am heading out to AZ going to Winslow. this August, I am traveling 40 from NC. Is there anything need to watch for, or a need to see spots?
