Default Simple spoiler question

will the ZO6 stage 2/3 spoiler work on the Stingray ?
i m sure it will as the deck lid is the same, but inquiring minds want to know.

thanks

Probably the same question as it is for the Grand Sport: Front Splitter - from what I gather it's plug-n-play - the link has some good tips.

UPON EDIT: disregard - I didn't see "rear spoiler". Not sure what I saw.

Yep.holes same. Ever so slightly wider. You need a z06 spoiler though... Not just the wickers.

yes, i understand what you are saying, but will the Z spoiler fit properly on a base Stingray.

maybe i am misunderstanding what the wicker is, i believe it to be the center piece of the spoiler that can slide up and down.

It will fit, but since the Z06 is wider, it sticks out a bit on the sides. Some people like the look, I personally do not. There are previous threads on this.

The Z06/GS rear spoiler mounting holes are an exact match for the holes in any Stingray that is factory equipped with a Z51-type spoiler. No mods of any kind are required for the retrofit.

As mentioned, the Z06 spoiler is slightly wider. Pics below are of my Stingray that has an OEM Z06 rear spoiler attached.
I don't think its "ricer" at all, but it is a personal preference, of course.
Good luck with your choice!

look at my picture above. it sticks out maybe 1/2" at the top of the quarters. It's no where near as wide as the quarters at the wheel arches. Looks perfectly fine.

it looks good. then the pics i saw before are inacurrate or the angle was different to make it look like more of an overhang. mine has the factory z51 spoiler. i have looked at the winglets one can add on. but not doing that. yours looks great. thanks for sharing.

Mine barely sticks out over the sides of the rear bumper. Definitely not an inch as many people say. Got a reproduction unit from Ebay for $350.

Used Z06 rear spoilers come up for sale fairly regularly here on the forum and on eBay.

I got my OEM Z06 spoiler with stage1 winglets for like $300 used. Deals are out there if you can wait for them.

If you can find a slightly used OEM Z06 spoiler with the Stage 3 Wicker Bill for a decent price, buy it and resell the Wicker. Used OEM Wicker Bill goes for a nice chunk of change.

thanks, i picked up a Stage 1 the other day. my buddy has the Stage 2 winglets. not sure if i want to put them on now, might look too goofy on a non wide body. he sold his Z and put the stage 1 s back on, has the 2 s for sale. $100. i m sure he would tell me to just take them and give me 75. i would fell guilty taking them and re selling for 200 lol
i need to think some more if they would look any good on my car tho.

thanks for your reply Al
