Default Upgrading 2019 GS...need some help from one of you.

I screwed up and didn't tick the upgraded ground effects when I ordered this car. GM says they need a VIN of a car WITH the upgraded ground effects (either carbon flash or exposed carbon) to get me the part number needed to order this kit.

It needs to be a 2019 Grand Sport with the upgraded splitter, side skirts and the higher rear spoiler sections.

If you want to PM me so it isn't out there on an open forum...that's fine.

Perhaps you could search dealership inventory for a car that has the ground effects and use the VIN that is posted on the dealer's website? It might be faster than someone coughing up their VIN. Mine's a Z51 otherwise, I would share mine with you.

I spent 3 hours today going through Kerbeck’s, AutoNation’s (national) and the local San Antonio and Austin stores.

problem is that’s not something a dealer normally configures a car with...unless it’s a Z06.

It’s something an auto crosser/track junkie wants...

The ground effects are parts that can be ordered right out of the catalog and fits the GS, Z06 and Stingray. It sounds like your dealer is actually not very well informed.

I thought the GS came with the ground effects package already?

Base Grand Sports come with level 1 aero.

You can upgrade to level 2 when ordering...I failed to do that. Level 3 is ONLY available on Z06’s (added wicker-bill to the Level 2 aero).

there is a specific part number for the entire package...I can add it piecemeal but I want the entire kit.

GMPP needs a VIN to do that. Hence, my question...

1G1YX2D71K5105033 is a 19 GS with the aero package.

I ended up just google searching the part numbers and bringing those to the parts dept when I did the same thing for my car, but this works too I guess.

It isn't the Z07 that's the problem Chuck...it's finding them with the Level 2 aero as well, and not many people order them that way.

They might add it later, but then the VIN does me no good.

It's frustrating...

Z06 and GS aero are identical for stage 2. This should work.

I found a better one for them on Autotrader...which is an actual Grand Sport with the upgraded aero. I've sent the VIN off to them.
