Default 2016 Z51 eLSD question

I just replaced the differential in my car due to the old one making the winning noise, mine has the elsd and I know I have to take it to the dealership for them to flush the air out of the hydraulic side. The differential portion has been filled already

I was just wondering if I would be ok driving it to get the service done? I'm sure I will get a service rear end or some type of message but will I be at risk of damaging something

Thanks

I would unplug the eLSD control module before driving the car to the dealer, to prevent the eLSD pump from running dry, which depends on the hydraulic fluid (ATF) to lubricate the pump. The eLSD control module is located under the rear, between the drivers side tire and the muffler.

Awesome, that's exactly what I was thinking.

Thank you

It really chaps my hide that we can’t cycle the elsd pump with HP or EFI. Welcome to the future, where we will be locked out of everything unless we have proprietary equipment and paid subscriptions. Yes, I know the procedure, I still think we should have control of this module.

I agree, did everything else in my garage. Since it's already there I'm going to have the check that issue with the fuel leak/smell, mine seems to have that issue as well if I fill the tank all the way.

Hopefully I will be all good after that, plan on driving her from Texas to Michigan to visit family next month
