Default Z06 brake system swap between Z07 and non-Z07 ‘16s

Hello,

I may be swapping my brake system with a Z07 (carbon ceramic) donor.

I have the dealer figuring out the cost and effort required. That said, I would like to take the opportunity to ask our esteemed panel of experts exactly what must be transferred between the two cars. Both cars must be fully functional after the swap.

Both are ‘16s. Mine is a convertible, I believe the other is a coupe.

Thanks in advance!

The question I would have is does your non ceramic brake car have the wires and software to support the electrical brake wear sensors used on the ceramic pads? I don't know whether the cars with standard Z06 brakes have the wired sensors or not. I do know the C7 Stingray and Z51 cars don't have them. You can get by without them but you need to understand they aren't there if you running ceramic rotor brakes as you will need to check your pad wear more carefully.
