Finally mounted 18" rotary forged on C7 Widebody (GS)
I know quite a few said it was impossible to find an 18" rotary forged that would fit the C7 widebody (GS or Z06), but after doing a lot of work with Caliber Motorsports, we were able to custom spec a set of Forgestar F14 in 18" (18x11F, 18x12R) on my 2018 C7 GS. Clears the iron brake calipers and all else nicely. I tracked them this past weekend at MSRH (that's in Houston and 90+ deg summer temps) with zero issues. I went rotary forged for one reason: cost. These were sub $2k and track proven, so perfect for my application. We track addicted guys have to save money where possible

Good to hear since I have a set of F14's currently on order myself. I stayed with a 18x12 in the rear though. What tires are you running? I hope to do a shake down run at MSRH next month before hitting COTA in October. That color really pops, I look forward to checking it out since we may run into each other at the track at some point.

Pete, this is Will (you know my other track car the red 86 better). Small world indeed.
I did go 18x12r also (thanks for catching the typo), and have r888r 315f/335r mounted.
Make sure you triple check the clearances when they come in, bro. Because when I tried on the first set with generic measurements they didn’t fit, so I went with custom measurements. I hope your luck is better than mine!
I’m hitting the Oct 13 TDE at MSRH. Next time at COTA will be 12/15-16. Hope to see you at an event soon.

Hey Will! So that is the GS I heard about but haven't seen at the track yet. I'll be at MSRH 10/13 and hopefully we're in the same run group. I went with 315/335 R888R's also and my offsets are custom for the car. I should hopefully haven them in the next week or two.

@Bigg_Slimm this comment is for you since I couldn't reply to your PM due to your mailbox bring full:
I do not run cooling rings/extra ducts. I have not had an issue with brake cooling, even at COTA (150mph back straight to 40 mph turn 12). DTC 70/60 pads, SRF fluid.
The front was tricky to measure right, but we finally got it done. Plenty of clearance on stock iron GS/Z06 rotors. Tires 315f/335r.

I went with BC Forged RZ06's from PK Designs. I ended up with 13" rears which PK offset perfectly so they don't rub anywhere including hitting the upper control arm when the tire is all the way off the ground. Wasn't sure I could trust the rotary forged on the track but since I don't push really hard it was likely ok for me. I was going to go with crystal red rims with my AB GS but got the hairy eyeball from my wife so I went with black (see my avatar). Since I live in the Houston area I will likely see the OP at one track day or another.
I will be at COTA 10/6, might do MSRH 10/13 and Road Atlanta over Thanksgiving. Not sure where else this year. It will be fun to connect with you Will at some time. I have already run into Pete at a previous MSRH day and will see him at COTA in Oct.
If I get to addicted to the track days it will be time to sell my other money pit that floats. :-)

I will see you at MSRH or COTA soon enough. I plan on MSRH 10/13, 11/17-18, 12/1-2, and then 12/15-16 COTA.

You guys inspired me! Will be fun to see the track pictures of this color. Starting to pick out 2019 track days. Will, have you decided where you are going to go? I am checking with Pete too to see if we can get together at the track this year.

My next 2 events are at MSRH - 1/19-20 PCA, 1/26-27 NASA. Possibly COTA near end of March with PCA, but not sure yet. What are you thinking?
Looking forward to seeing yours and getting a progress report!

My wheels are spec'ed to clear CCB. You just have to ask for them to be that way when they are made. Most of the track wheels you see are ordered and made to spec.
I was thinking about doing the NASA COTA at the end of March or the Chin COTA in early April. We have season tickets to Nascar at TMS so I have to work around that weekend. I want to do a weekend before then but I just haven't taken the time to figure it out. I met a guy on here who races a C7 Stingray in the NASA stuff and I would like to go do an HPDE on the same weekend he races so I can see how that all works. I have not looked into the PCA dates. Maybe they are a better fit. Will look at them over the next week or so.
Brad, so far the wheels have seen 3 track days - 1 msrh, 2 COTA. No hiccups at 150mph and turtle touches.

Will, I just signed up for the Saturday NASA 1/26 at MSRH. I usually like to just do one day. One thing I noticed and really want to do is the roval at TMS in August. That should be really cool.

Looks good! My drag pack for my Grand Sport at the strip is the Forgestar F14 drag wheels. Using 18x12 rear and 18x5 front. Fit perfect and work awesome. Saved 56lbs of rotating mass off of my oem wheels/tires.
