Default [VR] C7 Stage 2 Supercharged Package increases over 150rwhp and 150rwtq!

We recently had the pleasure of working with our local customer Steve again on his 2016 Corvette Stingray. Earlier this year we installed a Borla Exhaust system for Steve to help bring an aggressive sound to his Stingray. However, he soon realized that the LT1’s stock power output was not enough and it was time to push his C7 a bit further. The ultimate goal was to end up near Z06 power levels while retaining near stock drivability and keep with a combination that was not only reliable, but something he could easily build on down the road. For this, we landed on our Stage 2 supercharged performance package which consists of the following:

· ECS Supercharger System with Polished Blower Finish

· American Racing Longtube Header System with Catted X-Pipe

To start we opted for East Coast Supercharging’s Novi 1500 Supercharger which the customer requested in their polished finish. This system would not only push us to Steve’s desired power goal but also be able to build upon in the future should he want to push his Stingray further upwards of over 800rwhp. This system allowed us to reach big power gains with moderate boost levels and maintain near stock drivability and reliability. The self-contained design of the headunit also makes maintenance a breeze for easy use.

With more air going in we need to be able to let it escape, which is aided by the American Racing longtube header system included in this package. This system also features a catted x-pipe to keep the vehicle emissions friendly here in Georgia even at these power levels! This system mated to the previously installed Borla exhaust system not only increased power but made for a very aggressive exhaust note. Once the installation was complete it was once again time to hand Steve’s Stingray over to our tuner to see what this combination laid down on our DynoJet Chassis dyno. With our Stage 2 Supercharger performance package installed Steve’s Stingray made 539rwhp and 533rwtq on 93 octane pump gas through the automatic transmission at a very conservative 7psi boost level. With the car baselining at 380rwhp and 377rwtq, this was a huge improvement over stock and all done with just a blower and full exhaust, all at a very reasonable price. We are very excited for Steve to get out and enjoy his Stingray through the rest of the year!
