Default How much WHP can a stock internal C7 LT1 handle?

I have a 2014 C7 Z51 with a stage 3 texas speed cam, a&a blower, 2 inch texas speed headers. Also have flex fuel sensor but cant use until i get injectors and fuel pump. Im at 665 at the wheels as of now. Just looking to get some insight on how much more i can go before i have to start building internals.

I’ve learned from experience that our rings will go when you hit 700 whp. I was running 14 PSI when the ring and a chuck of the piston went out the exhaust.

Yup. OP you're at the limit buddy unless you like to roll the dice. Build you a short block or buy you some drop in pistons.

"Handle" and SAFELY handle on an ongoing basis are two different things. Note well the feedback you've gotten, unless you want to start over from scratch and rebuild it correctly!

Man you are walking the line here with a loaded gun at your head. If you push this car to hard for very long you will have a set of rings & parts of a piston out the side of the block. ANT in here has a set of Vengance forged pistons for sale at a great price buy them & if you don't go any higher other than the flex fuel & your set up will be good.

He that is ANT has a DIY on doing the job in here also.. Robert

have to get forged pistons. She's getting ready to blow. The crank is built like a battle tank.

As others have stated, you’re already there! I wouldn’t push it any harder until you do forged pistons. Keep a close eye on your fueling in the meantime...

Why do you need injectors and a fuel pump? I had the flex fuel sensor installed and it just needed a retune.

He’s making too much power. Remember E85 requires more fuel for the same HP levels. If he tried E85 with stock LT1 injectors at 665 RWHP he would nuke the motor.

You are at the point now where we begin to recommend our Vengeance Racing LT1 Forged Drop In Piston Kit!

The pistons and rings are the weak point in the LT1 especially in boosted applications.

Our pistons are a direct drop in and are recommended up to 800rwhp and utilize the OEM Connecting rods and bolts.

We keep these in stock and ready to ship. I have included the link to our VR Forged LT1 Drop in piston kit below.

https://vengeanceracing.net/vengeanc...1-pistons.html

You are reach us at Sales@Vengeanceracing.net or 678-513-7105 if you have any other questions.

Let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

We look forward to working with you.

Regards,

David @ Vengeance

I don’t want to gamble.I have an A&A blower but the boost is 7 rpm.Way less whp than you have. When I get the rings and pistons I will go up.Good luck.

660 WHP, after 24,000 miles. You are going to break.

Lucky I didn’t do any block damage. Running against a ZR1 6 speed at 850+WHP.

I never really investigated the C7 crank alone. How stout is it actually? I have another build coming up and am curious with a good set of rods and pistons how far it will go.

Crank is perfectly fine for 1kwhp. R/P is the needed upgrade
