I find my car scrapes on dips in the highway at speed. Yes its lowered on factory bolts and has the ground effects package.

The cost is ridiculous, IMO
I used skid plate from ProTek and it works very well.

The finish is great; solid with beveled edges. Installation is very easy - I did it without lifting the car. Fit is less than perfect. The corners didn't match perfectly on my stage II exposed carbon fiber. From above, one can't tell if anything is installed.

Hey Goathead,
Can you maybe share some pics of the fitment issue you are describing?
The plates should follow the contours of the splitter perfectly. If they don’t, then I would like to know more, if possible.
Thanks,
Mitch

Hey Chev,
The Stage 1 splitter has a different shape, so it won't fit our plates.
However, it is pretty durable, however, and relatively inexpensive to replace when it starts looking ratty.I think you can buy them for around $130 or so, from several sources.

It is a different shape.
We got one in, and looked at it for skidplate development, but the way it is designed, there is nothing for us to attach the skidplates to.
The stage 1 splitter is a pretty nice part though, and is pretty durable, as well as nit very expensive to replace.

The beauty is in it's simplicity and ease of install. I posted pics of the install already but in layman's terms that even I could understand: it's relatively thin but very hard/durable plastic that easily mounts directly to the front spoiler using factory mounting location (you didn't have the winglets for sale yet when I first purchased and probably need to get a set for the stage 3 aero) and is the barrier between the ground and your expensive splitter. I've ground the front end several times on steep driveways, inclines and other unavoidable areas and the hard plastic has some slight road rash but the splitter is like new. Were it not for that, I'd have gone through several front spoilers by now. I do have slight road rash on the underside of my unprotected winglets so you can clearly see where it's protected and where it isn't. It's an investment in your car that pays for itself, or has several times over in my case at least...

Advanced
Others like Slip Lo only sell through dealers.
Did the fitment issues get resolved? I have a 19Z06 coming with the full CF ground effects. Need to protect.

Another strong vote for ProTEKt. I have the Z06 Aero 3 version. Easy to install and the fit is perfect. Less than $200.00.
