NPP Exhaust
Just acquired a 2019 Stingray. It does not have an NPP exhaust. What would be required to install an NPP other than the muffler system? That is, does the car have the electronics and other systems required for operation and just lacks the muffler system. Are the requirements just too much to warrant the installation of an NPP exhaust? /would I be better off installing a Borla or other muffler system in order to get some more performance and exhaust sound note.

Yeah it would cost you a fortune. Pick an aftermarket.

Correct, which is why you should just pick an aftermarket setup. Some of the aftermarket exhaust designs eliminate drone when you are just cruising but get nice and loud when you put your foot in it.

It seems to me that if the wiring harness includes the NPP connections at the muffler, you can make that connection, and add a Mild2Wild controller per instructions. This would give you manual control, via the remote, or the visor garage door opener. If you didn't have the wiring, you would have to run one. Here's an npp for $400. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/pts...737703694.html

Are well still talking about the merits of a 1200.00 option... on a 70.000.00 toy no one actually “ needs”
this is like owning speedboat and asking if you want to Hull exhaust !!!
Imo
this option should be standard equipment and Chevrolet should just raise the base cost by 2000 bucks ....
this is $1200 well spent. If you are agonizing about this… How much are you agonizing about the true trivial stuff ... like a suede wrapped steering wheel !!!
someday you may want to sell this car and the first thing anyone is going to ask for his color and exhaust
yes perhaps you could save a few shekels by buying an aftermarket or a used factory piece but think of the aggravation of installing it
seriously guys this is the biggest no brainer in the Corvette World

Wow, I did not do the math, but it seems the pro NPP and con NPP seem about even. What I am also picking up is that according to most who actually have the option on the C8, the NPP does not seem any louder than the non-NPP. That is way different than the NPP option on the C7, which DEFINATELY makes the exhaust louder, quite a bit louder (I own one). If all this is true, I may just cancel the NPP option on the car I have ordered, and spend the money on some other option...

Let me ask y'all. I've recently purchased a 2lt 2014 Stingray without the NPP option. I would like to install a not too loud (touring) axle back muffler system. I notice that some of these systems are advertised as non NPP and/or no AFM (active fuel management). My car does have this system (AFM) when I choose the ECO mode. Do I need to buy a muffler system that has the AFM to be able to retain that feature in the ECO mode. Some of the ads say nothing about whether their system has the AFM option or not.
