Run some NGK LTR7IX-11’s. (#6510). They are one step colder. Gap around 42-44 since you are NA.

I just looked this info up yesterday.
I believe what you mentioned is for LT4 1 step colder.
LT1 one step colder should be LTR6IX.

no, LTR7IX is for both LT1 and LT4. The same plugs fit both applications. I use the LTR7IX for my LT1 boosted application. I would say to trust me, but search the C7 section specifically and you’ll see for yourself.

I have the LTR7IX for my C7 Z06.
For an LT1 without boost, the 6's would be okay. The 7's will be okay too. I believe on my LT1 with headers, CAI and tune, I had the 6's. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would have left the stock ones in there but gapped a little closer.

stock ones are 16 heat range which the part number cross reference exactly with NGK 5TRXI.

One step colder for denso is 20 heat range which cross references with NGK 6TRXI. Denso 22 and NGK 7TRXI cross references with each other. Just going strictly by both denso and NGKs interchange numbers.

So you’re saying the 6510’s are 2 steps colder?

In the age of internet, I encourage people to reach their own conclusions based on data.

So lookup what part number NGK recommends on their own site and it will say LTR5IX. And if click on specification of that model, it will say heat range of 5.

if change the 5 to 6, lookup the specification for LTR6IX, it will tell you heat range of 6.

if change the 6 to 7, lookup the specification for LTR7IX, and it will tell you heat range of 7.

Whether that's 1 step or 2 step colder readers can deduce it by themselves.

I believe they come gapped to 50 and I would say gapping to about 42 would be good if you are stockish.

Running the stock ac delcos is fine. I ran a brisk rr10s which is equivalent to a ngk 9 on my fbo setup (im running nitrous) and switched to the stock plug and saw no difference in power
