Default Clunk noise when stepping on clutch in low speed

2017 grand sport with manual transmission.
I hear a clunking noise when stepping on the clutch. Only when in first gear and moving forward about 5 mph and stepping on the clutch. Like when pulling out of a parking spot and need to stop.
I purchased the car new and it had the problem since day one.
The dealer told me this is normal and all 2017 corvettes with manual transmissions make this noise.
Is this true?
Where does the noise come from?
Aldo

is it like a muffled deep "phhft" sound? and does it only happen when the car is cold? If so, that's like my 2015. Has happened since first year.

Mine does it too....just like any car with a manual trans, it is just drivetrain slop, normal.

You have an engine, a clutch, and then a long torque tube connected to a transmission with a bunch of weight behind you. Its called driveline ******.

^^^^ Yep, and it's worse when you are driving nice and easy. ^^^^

Mine does the exact same thing. So did both of my C6 Z06s. Itís normal. Annoying, yes but nothing to worry about.

My 2015 Z06 does this. It was even worse on my 2016 Stingray and CTSV. It's very annoying but like others have said it doesn't appear to be anything to worry about.
