The last sample for the '14 A6 has been requested by a member. Thank you all for taking a chance at this Mod. I hope the information I can gather from those who are testing it will either validate or help refine the TB. Like I said, please post you impressions, positive or negative, as long as they are honest, they'll be put to good use.

I'd love to test out your modified throttle body and provide you feed back..
I have a 2014 A6 Z51, but it is not stock as I have just installed a ECS supercharger and a set of long tube headers .I also live in the North East so the car is currently off the road until the weather warms.
If testing in this configuration would be of benefit to you let me know.
Thanks Gary

Just wanted to add one more set of test results. This one was tested by member laserdude2215 in CA on his 2016 Z06 A8. He was kind enough to log data w/ HP tuners and send the files to me. Not sure if he is going to post but, here it is (w/ his authorization) what he had to say:
“My general impressions are that the Soler Engineering throttle body has a very linear response to pedal inputs. Smooth starts from a stop are effortless. Driving in heavy freeway traffic is a breeze. Driving in light freeway traffic is still a blast.
I did notice that the performance shift mode seems to work better. In particular, the downshifts are smoother and more equally spaced.”
…and here is a plot of the log, exactly as promised; noticeable and measurable. Stay tuned, more results coming soon.
A couple of things worth noticing in the graph is that the previous TB doesn’t appear to be OEM (ported perhaps). Also, the OEM curve was generated w/ data logged at sea level and 90 Deg. F.
Results from data logged on SE test sample, the previous TB on test car, and OEM average.

Well, I am thoroughly impressed with your data analysis! I intentionally gave you absolutely no clue that I was already running a ported throttle body, yet you easily picked up on that fact.
This one is a keeper. Anyone out there interested in buying a good, but somewhat less technologically advanced ported throttle body? Probably not.

put me on the list if the other falls through. I have my stockish TB and a mamo to compare it to.

If you need a real world test at the Drags, I run often stock with DR's. 2019 Base A8 NPP.

Just wanted to make sure you know thatif you already have a PTB, we may be able to rework itto the same performance standards as those of our SE Modified TB above. Needing volunteers for free test samples.

TB Feedback
Unfortunately, I do not have the expertise or equipment to provide Mike with data analysis for my Solar Engineering TB. I can agree 100% with "laserdude." Even though he has a Z06, a lot of what he said is exactly the same effect I was getting from my Stingray Z51,A8. He mentioned the "performance shift mode" was working better. That is what I was trying to tell Mike last week, but didn't have the right terminology. I can definitely feel the performance shifting more aggressively up, and smoother down, especially in the first 5 gears, while driving in Touring mode. The biggest positive factor for me is the instant acceleration through the first 5 gears. Sometimes I feel like I am not giving him "quantifiable" data, and for that I am sorry. Mike, although you can't really quantify this, but please know, "your TB is a freaking miracle!

^^^^^ Thanks OJ, it is great hearing it from somebody other than myself. Don't worry about quantifying it. My guess is that most drivers don't log data and I didn't expect that from all of you, in fact, only 3 of the members testing logged data. There is the very legitimate question of "Is it the placebo effect?" and to that end I replied in another thread/post the following:
"" There should not be placebo here, I'm promising numbers, not adjectives. It either doubled the slope of the OEM curve (+ others) at partthrottle right off idle or it didn't. Anyone w/ minimal logging/streaming capabilities should be able to measure that. If someone doesn't have the instruments to measure it, they'll feel a stark difference that will leave no doubt. I'd say if someone have to think, or try again to determine whether it made a difference, then say "it didn't".""
That is quantifiable, it is either a 1 or a 0. Sounds like you've got a 1. ;-)
