FINALLY - C7 3.90 and 4.10 Differential Gear Sets
Ladies and Gentlemen,
After three years of development I am pleased to announce that C7 3.90 and 4.10 differential gear sets are in country and ready for sale and installation. Please contact Jeremy at RPM Transmission - (800) 406-1109, x 201.
Suggested ratios:
- Stingray = 4.10
- Grand Sport = 3.90
- Z06 and ZR1 = 3.90

Lower MPG, IMO a waste for a daily driver. And for people looking for a performance advantage, competition gear sets are made from a different alloy than street gears, one wonders what these sets are manufactured from?

The point being competition gear sets are not recommended for street use, and visa versa, So again what grade of steel are these made of and for what venue were they designed? Street or true competition? And as a side note these are gears for the rear differential, not the transmission as some are assuming.

These gear sets are recommended for both street and competition use. They are stronger than the Linamar factory gears. They are manufactured in Italy, not in China or some other Asian plant. Linamar's OEM differential design is poor. Several C7 users have had spider gear failures. The fix for that is to have a WaveTrac differential installed at the same time as the new gears. In addition, most Forum users spend more time on the street than they do on any track.

I can't think of any reason this would affect traction control or speedometer calibration etc. If not it seems like a winner and makes more sense for my needs than a supercharger which I've considered.
