American Car Craft splitter
I purchased a spliter for my C7 and took it to the dealer to have it put on. It is stainless steel in the front and bottom and carbon fiber inlaid.
Looks really nice.
The guy attached all the factory bolts as the instructions stated and then proceeded to drill holes for the provided screws from ACC.
He drilled 2 holes where the stainless steel was pre-drilled.
When he went around front of the car the holes had gone through the carbon fiber but there was nothing metal too attach to.
He came and got me and we looked at the directions, and he did what the directions had stated.
The bottom of the bumper angles up and the splitter is parallel to the ground
You can see one of the holes if you look close, not good.
I have sent PICS to ACC and talked to them on the phone, and all they say is we have done 100's of these with no issues, and why didn't the installer call us.
If I had done the work I would have done the same based on the instructions and terrible pictures.
I'll get to my point now.
It looks like the splitter should be angled up to follow the plastic bumper, and if it does this the holes would be covered by the bumper.
But I cant see how the splitter would be screwed to the plastic bumper or frame to keep this angle in place.
Has anyone installed this product and if yes is it angled up or parallel to the ground ?
Thanks
