Default Header guys, check this wire for signs of melting

I’ve only been running headers for a few hundred miles and today I noticed this on the passenger side:



It has only only melted the outer plastic insulation exposing a beefy wire underneath. Whether or not the heat would start melting the wire inside I don’t know, but I’m going to make a point of wrapping it in reflective tape.

Looks like the front fuse block main 12V feed wire. Get some heat shielding what I did. DPI I think sells it on amazon or you can find at parts store. It works.

You can see where I used it on my Holley wires in the below pic which run by my Kooks headers and down my tunnel. It has held up perfectly for months now. Even tracking at Roebling Road Raceway for 20 min hard sessions.
