Default Opinions-Kooks headers, etc on C7 Grand Sport

For those owners of a C7 GS or Stingray LT1 that have installed Kooks headers X pipe with Green cats and a tune ONLY 1. Is it really worth the price and performance gains? 2. Any check engine light problems? Thanks for any personal results to these questions.

Running that setup on my LT1 and love it. No tune and no check engine light. To me, it was worth every penny for the sound alone, but likely not worth the money for just the performance gains.

WHAt he said. Really like how much cleaner everything is also. Wot cracks fairly loud. Low rpms with npp close to same loudness.

Big thanks for the 2 replies so far and both mention the sound. I already have an X pipe and B&B fusion cat back exhaust so wondering how much louder the headers would be? I have seen dyno results with a 20 HP gain with the kooks etc but not sure if the expense is really worth that gain or not.

Definitely worth it. Sounds great and feels great..

It's going to be noticeably louder.

You'll need to change out your x pipe with a full Kooks setup.

Contact us for pricing.

I know you mentioned Green cats but figured I could share a very simple dyno sheet showing HP/TQ gains before/after from a C7 grand sport somewhat matching your description.

Baseline 403whp/419tq (Stock A8)
AFE CAI Only 412wp/424tq
AFE & Kooks Headers Offroad X Pipe 429whp/443tq

Thanks for the great info Josh and yes I was told I need to change my x pipe to match up which is no problem. I have a quality Corvette service place nearby that has the parts in stock and can get the car in and out with a days notice. Louder is good.
