Default 3.90 and 4.10 gear reviews?

Now that these gears have been out for awhile, does anyone have anything to report as far as durability?

I have the 3.90's and they have been good. I found its been a huge help on roll races for a good 3rd gear start. Makes a huge difference. The car pulls hard in 3rd from any starting speed from 40-60mph and you don't have to worry about that pesky 2-3 shift. On the track, Its hard to see that it makes a huge difference, but I also went from 26.9" tires to 28.5" tires so I cant make a direct before and after comparison since the taller tires kind of negate the gear change on the track.

As far as strength goes though, I've done two 1/4 track days, a 1/2 mile event and some street pulls and have had no issues. I do have a "Service Rear Axel" warning coming up on my dash every now and then but my dealership cant see anything wrong so they figure thats just caused by the Wavetrac diff I have in there now.

I have 4.10 it is fantastic.Total price labor at a Chevy dealership was $4,000 2nd gear is like 1st.It will burn rubber or
whatever you want.On I-95 Going 70-80 mph in 7th it takes off nicely. Before I had it 7th would be a dog at 75.The total amount wasn’t cheap but I would never go back to 3.42. 4.10 is fantastic.

I appreciate all the feedback from everyone and I'm particularly interested in what you've done, as I'm looking at 4.10's as well. If I could ask you a couple of questions:
1. Z51 or base?
2. If Z51, any issues with the ELSD?
3. How did speedo calibration work?
4. What kind of revs do you see now at 80 MPH?
5. Lastly, your dealer had no problem with using someone else's parts? I figured I was going to have to find a specialty shop somewhere.

TIA

Have to get HP tuners to tell the computer you now have that gear in it. This way the speedo & all works correct. Robert

I have 3.90 with about 300 miles on them and they're fine. I haven't track the car yet, but i have pushed it hard a few times from a dig with no issues. This is probably the best mod for a Manual C7. It takes the car to another level. I'm waiting patiently for cooler weather to hit the track. I want to see what a C7 M7 is really made out of.

Stephen1254,
I have a 2014 base.A&A SC. ARH long tube headers.
at 80 in 7th it’s only tacking around 1700 rpm.
had it retuned for the speedometer calibration
