Default Couple Carbotech 1521 questions

Just received a set for my GS, and had a couple easy questions.

First, are you all grinding off the nubs that stick up or are you getting them to fit OK with them in place.

The other kind of trivial question is this: In other photos of the friction side, the pad was sectioned into 2 or 3 sections. The ones I just received look like this. Just wanted to make sure I got the right thing.

Mine looked like yours front and back. I could not get them to install with those useless tabs on them. I hand filed mine almost even with the backing plate. This was a really nice feature for American made high dollar parts.

You really only need to grind off that pin if you expect to take them off again (like switching pads back and forth for track days). Most will switch to these pads and leave them in for much of the life of the car.

Putting them on is easy with it, taking them off is the challenge where the pin gets in the way.

^^^ Thanks--I doubt I will be changing very often. On the other hand, I have a nice mini air grinder just sitting there . . .
