My new to me '17 Z51 with NPP is too quiet for me compared to my heads/cam modded C5, thinking about headers and X pipe with the stock NPP mufflers.... To get some sound out of it...Anybody running a similar set up? I'm considering TSP headers and X pipe....
thanks for any input / thoughts!

You should be happy adding the headers and x pipe with your NPP. Sounds great no doubt. I have more mods than that but again... it will be louder and quiet when you need or want it. Added power is a + 😃
thanks for the replies....was considering the TSP headers with the stock NPP as long as I can get some acceptable sound out of it.....less expensive than some of the aftermarket NPP cat backs available plus there's more HP increase with the long tubes than an axle back muffler system...

Reason: p
I have 1 7/8 longtubes on my 15 with NPP and when the valves are closed its honestly pretty tame and quiet, but at WOT with the flaps open i feel like its pretty loud, at least for my taste.
I ran the tsp 17/8 with offroad xpipe and npp sounded good and still had control went to magnaflow comp exhaust and got super loud even in stealth mode
now have corsa extreme its pretty tame but the exhaust note and volume are great
I'm running ARH long tubes with the hi-flow cats and the stock NPP mufflers. I added a mild to wild switch for maximum control. It's pleasantly loud with the valves open and really quiet with them closed. I switched my engine sound management to stealth mode to allow for "full on" and "full off" with the MTW switch. I really like the setup.
I've got tsp long tubes (hi flow cats) with stock npp mufflers.
They are LOUD! The car sounds absolutely amazing. The best way to explain the sound is like an American ferrari. They do cause a check engine light though. I had to tune the car to remove the CEL.
2016 Z51 with NPP, Corsa 1 7/8 long tube headers, with the Corsa offroad x-pipe, and Mild2Wild NPP switch. It's very loud when I want it which is almost always, and very quite when needed (early morning starts without waking the neighbors). 638 whp which is a ton of fun!

I have catless headers on my cammed out c7 z06. Its loud as f#ck. lol.
I would keep the NPP stock mufflers for now. The NPP is a nice function because you can always silence it when you have to. Get an aftermarket or muffler delete later if you want to be louder.
Get headers and keep the NPP. It will be plenty loud with valves open and you’ll be able to close them when you pull up to the drive through at McDonalds to get that coffee. NOBODY wants to hear that loud **** ALL the time. Except maybe those Mustang guys. It really gets annoying. And by the way, aftermarket deletes or mufflers would only add about 2 horsepower. You’d save enough for coffee for the next 5 years if you keep the NPP.
This is a great thread btw. I always have mine in track mode and it's too quiet for me. I'm working on installing the mild to wild but that still won't be enough. My C5 with Bullets, headers and high flow cats sounds amazing compared to my C7.qaaaaaaaw
