I love the blackout kit i got from yal. But i am very unhappy about the rear blackought light. It only has three pieces of adhesive and this is a curved piece. Whenever i tried to attach this i had two bulges where it was sticking out. Did yal test these things out before selling them. I emailed yal back about this and did not get a response. where can i get more adhesive to make this stick to my car properly . thanks

How does one apply the vinyl blackout pieces? I got the rear reflector blackouts from RPI, but didn't notice any instructions in the package.

I figure I should make sure the reflectors are clean, spray water on both the reflector and the vinyl, but is that it? Should it be soapy water? Squeegee after? Apply heat?

For small vinyl application like the reflectors I would not suggest any water to apply, I usually just do it dry, just make sure you got it right the first time. Usually you would a water spray if you were applying a huge decal that you would have to remove the decal during the installation if something does not go right. Just make sure the lens is clean and dust free and temperatures are above 65 degrees and you should be fine. Thanks, Don

What exactly is this? Just some stick on vinyl?
What is the acrylic upgrade? Is it see through? Solid Carbon Flash? Glossy Black?
Im just looking for the two on the bumper.

We have both options stick on vinyl and acrylic covers.
The acrylic is smoked/tinted 1/16" thick plastic so some light will shine through but not much. Both work equally well some guys prefer the acrylic over the vinyl because it is more durable.

I bought this blackout kit from RPI design and the side marker blackouts look very good. Unfortunately, the package sent to me from RPI was missing the the rear lower bumper blackouts, so I can't comment on those. I emailed RPI about the 2 missing blackout pieces, but they never replied back. I'm sure it was just human error on the shipping end from RPI, but I'm surprised they ignored my email, since I had previously bought my front splitter and rocker panels from RPI without issue. So, I definitely recommend the blackout kit, but be careful buying them from RPI based on my experience.

As a follow up to my previous post, Don from RPI contacted me and is sending out the rear bumper blackouts. It appears he did not get my original email and is taking care of the problem now. Thanks for the good costumer service!
