Will the bracket and/or plate hit the body of the Vette when driving highway speeds - and maybe a little above that.

Not sure how sturdy that area the bracket mounts to is.

I like the idea and the simplicity. Just don't want the wind pushing the plate or bracket back against the body of my new Vette and rubbing.

I bought one of these...looks and works great! Looks much better than the factory mount and can easily be removed.

There is another (unadvertised) benefit to this bracket. When approaching a curb or concrete bumper, this bracket is the first to scrape before damaging your car. If I had used this on my C6, it would have saved costly repair on the underside of the front bumper.

Good tip, kinda a like a cheaper version of a curb alert. LOL

Anyone else (3rd party of course) try this?
I have seen these and high speeds / wind seem to make these a bad choice.
Looking for any and all front plate options which look great, come off easy, and don't have problems at high speed and/or affect air flow intake.

These are very solid, there is a similar product out there that is much lighter weight, that might flap in the breeze, but not this unit.

It says installs using factory bolts, but, in the pictures the bracket looks like it mounts on a black solid panel with no holes.

This is the only license plate mount I've seen that looks like it might work with a Novistretch bra. Can you confirm that it will?

Does this mount to the existing two screws under the bumper like the Top Flight Low Profile? Do you have a picture off the car without the plate on it?

I found the installation instructions at a different site. Can't post a link, but I think this is OK:

www dot yatesperformance dot com/Instructions/XT4634 dot pdf

To answer your question no, it does not mount into existing holes. It requires drilling 4 holes. I dont know if these screw into sheet metal or plastic, but the instructions caution not to overtighten the screws:

Caution: When tightening the screws extreme care should be taken not to over tighten screws or the hole may become stripped and lose its ability to secure the base plate. Place the screw into the 10mm socket and begin to tighten. Once the screw is flush with the plate stop. Now tighten screw one half turn and stop.
I'm still waiting for my car to be delivered, so I can't go look at see whether it's being screwed into sheet metal, plastic, or what. If you can check that on your car, and let me know, I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to decide whether to order tonight, while it's 12% off.

I think I'd be inclined to add some VHB tape in addition to the 4 screws. Not terribly impressed with their instructions for fixing a misalignment of the plate, either: grab it a twist against those easily stripped screw holes. Would be nice if Don would respond.
