Its a no brainer. If your Stingray, Grand Sport or Z06 came with carbon fiber from the factory, its not a typical ordinary 2x2 twill weave. PLUS it has a different tinted resin. Anything you by will not match.
We have both the correct GM matching weave AND the GM matching Tint!
This can really be an eyesore if you are buying aftermarket parts and they will be next to or close to any GM factory carbon part.
You can choose between ordering:
*GM matching weave
*GM matching weave with GM matching tint
All parts are made from high-quality, lightweight twill carbon fiber material that matches the OE carbon fiber, along with vinyl ester-infused resin, for exceptional strength and appearance characteristics.
All pieces are then hand-polished for a deep luster.
Please contact us if you have any questions. 1800 778 9898 sales@tkoperformance.com

Some pictures are not done in the GM weave. Simply choose "GM pattern" when ordering. All parts will come hand polished to a show quality shine.
Stingray, GS & Z06 Carbon Fiber Targa Bar (Halo)
The carbon matches the factory weave on your GM Carbon roof so it flows from front to back.
You can have the ends painted or not (we don'y paint).

Last week, I picked up my 2018 Z06/Z07 from NCM. I ordered it optioned with visible carbon fiber (VCF) hood insert, ground effects, and removable roof. As your website shows, factory VCF is a brownish shade. So, since most all aftermarket parts are in black, it is difficult to match.
I take exception to TKO’s part descriptions regarding spoiler, wheel flares, fender, quarter panel and rear brake ducts, (paraphrased) “doesn’t need factory tinted resin because it is not next to factory part.” The wheel flares extend down to front splitters, behind canards/winglets. Rear brake ducts are inches above side skirts. If someone has VCF removable top from factory, quarter panel ducts are right below. Fender vent would also look unmatched if car had VCF hood insert, too. Spoiler would also stand out as not matching, if looking at car from rear or side. The contrast is very noticeable.
Perhaps all of your after market VCF items need to be offered with an option to match factory visible carbon fiber, e.g., tinted resin? In my ignorance and excitement to add aftermarket VCF accents—not knowing factory VCF was not black—I ordered thousands of dollars worth of VCF parts, only to have my installer call with the bad news, “nothing matches.” When looking at car from side, black VCF aftermarket parts look awful. It makes my beautiful car look like a patchwork quilt. I’m disappointed, and stuck with useless black, carbon fiber parts.
As I said, I was completely ignorant about VCF and color difference of factory parts. I wish I had noticed your website months ago. You appear to be the only company offering options to match factory tint on VCF. Hopefully, others can learn from my very expensive mistakes.

We have the matching weave and tint and try to get the word out
The tint is extra but when butting up against the factory parts, we feel its worth it.
You can get away with no tint on parts that are far away from factory parts BUT its still the GM factory weave.
That's why we make it an option (saves some money). Unfortunately my ocd would not allow it. I'd have to get it.
We try to get the word out. Im really sorry you did not see our post sooner. Let me know if we can help you out in the future.

Ed,
Is it possible to have pieces tinted to match factory VCF if not listed as an option on your website? Some items do, most do not. Personally, I cannot see a piece that would be far enough away from factory VCF—if a person had front splitter, side skirts, hood insert, removable top and/or spoiler—for difference not to be noticeable. The VCF weave draws attention, highlighting color differences.
I noticed your thread date. I had already ordered major- and most smaller- pieces.

But if you purchased regular 2x2 twill, I'm not sure how good it will look anyway.
The reason why some parts on our website don't offer the tint or the GM weave is because we sell many different manufactures products. Not every company has that weave.
Since not every customer owns a Corvette with factory carbon, They can put regular 2x2 twill with no issues because there is nothing to match.

If your asking if we can have the tint applied to carbon fiber parts you received from somewhere else, I'd have to check to see if that can be done.

There is a possibility there was a color change for the 2018-2019 cars.
The weave is the same but the tint seems different. We are verifying with GM.

If you PM a cell number, I would be happy to send you a picture of APR Heat Extractor installed next to factory hood insert. I struggle uploading pics onto this website. I’m sure it’s not only operator ignorance but operator error, as well. Your Nowicki/ConceptZ Hood extractor, as shown, would match factory but all the intakes, vents, spoiler, rear diffuser, etc., would not, unless custom ordered through Nowicki. It’s been an expensive learning curve for me.
However as I mentioned above, we just found out that some late 2018 and 2019's have a different hue.
The tint samples from the GM design studio shows that some of the newer 18-19's Z06's are different. Rather then the yellowish brown, its more purple. Its close to the ZR1.
But we are working it out so it does not effect our customers.

I understand you purchased elsewhere and it does not match. Sorry about that. We have the intakes, spoilers, splitter...etc all in the matching GM weave with the option GM tint.
