Which sounds to me like the blower is too small and the torque really falls off a cliff up top...

Confirmed:

Yeah....bet all those guys really dropped the ball based upon your expertise of seeing the unofficial peak hp/tq numbers. Sorry GM...this guy says you f*cked up.

Get a clue bro...variable cam timing changes the game and allows for a different power curve than was previously available. There has surely been thousands of hours of testing to validate the compressor choice made...and here you are calling it junk...lol. F*ckin internet...

I think they may be going with basically a DI VVT in the old Cadillac/Camaro supercharger kind of thing for a more modest 600hp. Just enough without the need of all that heavy duty more expensive stuff.

And then a ZR1 could maybe go some more later?

Stupid question.....

Why didn't they just use this???

LSX454

Nearly the same power... but doing it NA... and race proven.
Sounds like Z06 stuffings to me???

The block is iron, isn't it? That would be too heavy me thinks. And I thought it wasn't too emissions friendly But I may just be making this up LOL.

The torque falling off the cliff doesn't matter if you are happy with 620 hp. Torque always falls off the cliff up top, it only matters if it's a diesel and only has 240 hp.

Now there's going to be a diesel option with a hitch to tow itself to the track??? WooHoo! Then the surprise has got to be its own trailer.

I was almost right on the torque but 46 hp down on the other number.

This thing will scream......

Avalon

PS Track driveability was a major consideration...
