apparently good ole nick has not been watching the news lately, nor spoken with any dealerships. the common wisdom has it that basically all cars will soon be supercharged--as you know its the best way to keep engine size down, while increasing hp. its all about money.

Turn 12!
Can't wait! I just hope that there is a dual clutch option.

Off the top of my head, only Jaguar, Audi, and GM are sticking with blowers. MB and Ford have already abandoned supercharging.

I am curious, with how hot my C6Z can get on ThunderHill, how they will manage cooling with the addition of a supercharger on the C7Z in track conditions.
Guess I could ask a ZR1 owner if I can find one who tracks their car.

All rumors at this point, but my SVT contacts are talking about a naturally aspirated flat plane crank 5.2L V8 with a Ferrariesque torque curve.
I have tracked mine a fair bit, though not in the summertime, and it maintains temps surprisingly well. I think jvp has had similar results.

I'm kinda doubtful about such a motor in the new gt500.. No way of actually knowing though I suppose.
Good to hear on your track temps. It gets HOT at Thunderhill in the summertime though. Looking at a track day in March before it heats up to much.
