Worried about one thing
I'm really excited about the new Z. I plan on selling/trading in my C6Z for it. I just hope they don't make a Grand Sport version that will look the same. Anyone else feel the same way?

Don't care if it looks like every c7 made. Don't care if people buy wide body panels and badges to make their car look like a Z06. Just as long as it's the " most capable" corvette ever on the track. I'm in

No. when the G.S. vert debuted ,I didn't care that it had some of the same dimensions as my ZR1.It is gorgeous. And besides, anyone who knows vettes ,,,,,,,knows vettes.

That is compared to all previous corvettes, STOCK from the factory cars, not some poor guys tweaked c5 that runs the new c7z off the track. I will be in line to buy the new c7 z06 but will understand going in that in will not be the fastest car at a track day until is has some work done to it. A lot of folks get all nuts about these cars when the reality is small incremental advances over the last models...not huge breakthrough advances as many seem to think.

I have been saying all along that I hope they change enough panels from the base C7 that it makes it absolutely cost prohibitive to change out panels and clone. The Z should be a stand alone body style along with being the top dog performer. I'm in for that Z provided they do some of these things right.
Oh that and getting reliable valves this time and maybe actually standing behind their mistake? That would be nice. So I'm watching close this time and taking my time.

I believe in speak softly but carry a big stick
I could not care less if they make a look alike clone for half the price...... and if buying the clone makes someone feel better who cannot afford the real deal, IMO makes producing a cheaper look alike an even better idea
As long as you know how to drive and know what you got, who cares what everyone else thinks

I bought the GS because of the flared fenders and the automatic transmission. I will buy the new z if it comes with the automatic. I could care less about how much horsepower it is putting out. 460 hp in my c7 is plenty for what I use the car for.

That won't change, it would cost to much, I do hope they don't make so many models this time around, it does water the brand down, no matter what anyone wants to admit.
The last special GS was a C4 model, it was limited in quantity was much quicker than the base model with its lt4 rated at 330 but put down the same rwhp numbers as the base C5 did) and are one of the few vettes that still go for a good buck.
If Chevy is smart they will keep the models at a minimum this time, the C6 had way to many models add that with it just being a C5 makeover didn't help that car.
C7 is a game changer.
