Why not? Is there any good reason they should look different? Nobody but Corvette owners would know the difference even if they made drastic changes in the bodies. Even after 8 years non Corvette owners still don't grasp the difference between a base C6 and a wide body C6. They all look the same to them.
Changes to improve performance are fine since that is what the car is about but changing the body just because the engine is different doesn't make sense.

Some of you guys are going too old school. Sounds like you want a sleeper, like a 427 in a Biscayne or a hemi in a Coronet.
I know, how about an LT4 in a base C7?

Ummmm, we already know that the new car is going to be a widebody. Those have got to be at least 285 fronts.
