NEW Z06 or C6 CALLAWAY 427
#21
You've already had the pleasure of driving a C6 GS Vert albeit not supercharged or as well balanced as a Calloway.
If I were you I would drive the GS until the C7Z came out. It will easily trump the old C6 in every category.
Since it might be your last big ticket car purchase you might as well wait for the best. You'll end up regretting it if you buy the Calloway. It will quickly look outdated.

I know where there is a brand new 0 mile 2013 callaway 427 Vert for sale, now I have been keeping my eye on the new Z06 and been hearing prices flying around, I can get the 2013 427 for 100,000 maybe less but I have been weighing up the option to buy a 2015 zo6 for the same money, cant make up my mind ???

I know they a rare but I didn't know only 3 came to Canada WOW !! that super rare !! Yes its a Canadian car I am looking at but the one thing that is turning me off is the fact that it does not have the carbon skirts or chin spoiler and apparently it was built that way I had the vin # checked by Chris Callaway,, but it does have the rear mud flap that the skirts would normally attach too ?? So it looks like the car is missing something ! the front has a GS or Z06 plastic splitter, I have told the dealership I will not take the car without skirts and spoiler, asking price is 119,000 I had them at 114,000 in the summer but they wont budge I would do 100,000 !

Always buy the newest car you can afford.
A Callaway car - although very nice - is also much more of a niche vehicle than a production line C7 Z06 will be. The C7 will retain much more resale value over the near-term than a professionally assembled bolt-on's C6 with a big price tag.
Nothing against the Callaways, but IMHO the C7 will be the better value (even if it isn't as fast) for everyone except a Callaway collector.

I checked again on the painted carbon rocker extensions and front splitter, and found this was indeed a Canadian Corvette thing to omit those two features from the package. I cannot find a reason why, just know that every 427 I saw, or our dealers delivered, did not have the parts - but did have the rear attachment, as you describe.
Thank you for the note, separate from this thread. Again, we thank you for considering Callaway
