C7 Z06 official performance numbers.

That is my guess, that they have fixed the issue and will get rid of as many LS7's as they can.

Nytmare, I drag race and road race, I get it.
The difference is while I've owned plenty of performance makes and models, I don't just live blindly that once I've sold a car, it now is crap.
None of my cars are stock either, and my zr1 is making peak hp at redline, I am very interested in the new make up of the blower on the new Z, and I'll plan to get one around this time next year, I just find your posts amusing, ls7 is ****, ls9 is ****, but the unknown lt4 is gods gift to automobiles.
My other issue with your logic, is based on all the data I've seen on the c7, the car weighs a 100lbs more than a c6, so I just don't see where ethnology allows more weight and less hp to go faster from a roll in a straight line?
Also, I agree with gearing making up for much of this, but if a dedicated track car focus, I'm guessing the trans and rear end ratios will be very similar to the zr1.
Either way the better the new z06 then the better the new zr1 will be.

Why do we all keep arguing on which is faster? The ZR1 or new Z06. GM has ALREADY STATED that the new Z06 will be the MOST track capable Corvette ever produced. It will be faster, period.

But you're right... less than 2 weeks... and we'll get all the juicy details!
Can't wait!

well that would put it in Viper territory...so I believe it FWIW

The ZR1 was no different as it would slow down after 3 consecutive runs, in my experience a centri doesn't get as hot as fast as a PD unit, but it does get there.
Even non FI car experience this, which is why people run their cars in the winter for best times, it something one just has to deal with.

I'm not talking about the older model in the new section again, I agree with you 100% back to topic AGAIN.

Why argue at all? Both cars are corvettes, it's just evolution, when The C8 is revealed it will be better than the C7, I've never seen so manny people with the bragging right insecurity.

If anything the c7z06 will be as fast as the c6zr1, and perhaps easier to drive fast than the c6zr1, thus making it the most track capable vette produced... I think we are talking split hair difference between the two vehicles when it comes to Ring times...perhaps going towards a GTR style of driving where the computer has a heavy input to make it easier for anyone to run fast times.
I bet a quarter that both cars in a straight line will be neck and neck (driver's race) this is based on the hp/tq number, the c7 being 100lb heavier (which mean they would have shaved off some weight to account for the blower).
The c7zr1 will add more hp to the mix, just like the c6z06-zr1.
I think if you are looking for a c5z06-c6zr1 performance delta change in the c6zr1-c7z06 you will be highly disappointed.

What makes this official? Not trying to be that guy but I think there needs to be standard of proof or link to source before something is tagged as "official"
