I agree with you to an extent. Personally, I'd prefer to purchase the Z N/A. This gives me the option to go with a turbo setup from the start, vs. having to pay (possibly more) for something I don't initially want. This means I'm paying extra for a supercharger and extra to have it removed just to mod it my way. N/A would have been my preference.
I do agree; its way, way easier to make gobs of power on FI.

As for the emblem... placement and design matches the original Jalopnik C7 leak nearly two years ago.

I'm super charged to see the Supercharged emblem. Sorry couldn't help it. Imagine slapping a smaller pulley and a tune for 700HP+ for less than a couple grand!!!

Someone on another forum said he had seen images of the new C7 Z car, and it's wider than the current C7 and more aggressive looking...
He said that's all he could say right now because of a NDA... But did say people will be very happy with the car.

With the rumor that there may not be a Corvette if sales don't improve...do you think we'll ever see a ZR1? Of course, I'm optimistic about sales and continuation of the icon, but I can't imagine a Corvette with a whole lot more factory HP than this one. GM didn't seem to care about HP ratings in the Camaro lineup when the 1LE, ZL1 and Z28 didn't trump the GT500's 660hp or whatever it is...Chevy's dominating "whole car" concept kind of made a joke of Ford's drag strip only Mustang.
I think supercharging is the logical road to super car performance for an interim period if there's any doubt Corvette will even exist for more than 4 or 5 years. Supercharging ensures reasonable power, street cred, and durability at a reasonable price. With wide body, tires and suspension tweaks, I can see GM selling a lot of Zs.
My other question: will there be any kind of automatic...dual clutch or otherwise? I think yes
Imagine the Nurburgring times this thing is going to run! These are exciting times for the Chevy enthusiast!!!

The reason I chose a used Z06 over a s/c'd 03/04 Cobra last year was due to wanting a high hp n/a'd car. I am sad to see Cheby take the same step as Ford and put a blower on their performance/track car. The appeal of Ford's Boss302 is nearly 450hp n/a'd in a track prepped car. That is what the C6Z is and an incredible car. To me the 13/14 GT500 is a heavy car with too much hp to put on the ground. I have a friend with 2013 and he said you can blow the tires off in 3rd gear on the highway. He said it's too much to use and is basically wasted. Not to mention unneeded on the road course. This will only make the Z a hot microwave oven of an engine on track. Very disappointed. I would rather have seen a 550hp n/a'd Z.

i told you that in a previous post, and as is typical, was dissed by some dufus. note that all vehicles in your dealership are going supercharged. its the best way to increase power and not increase engine size, which is more expensive. all r&d is focusing on enhanced aspiration vehicles. its obvious. if you dont like it, im sorry for you, but thats the way life is sometimes. you cant always get what you want (mick jaggard, ca. 1970)
