I think the "unique drive line" GM hinted at in the release tease is a DCT!

This car has the optional aero package... it will not have that aggressive body kit standard.

I think the DCT fans are going to be very disappointed. It'll be a 7-speed manual or an 8-speed auto. Full stop.

I'd say it's the 8 speed slushbox...must be a hell of a transmission.

If no DCT, I'll just go with the manual. Done.

Prob dual intercoolers in each fender area for those naca ducts from grille area.

The pics in the first post are the smaller version. These are the same pics, but in the larger 1200 pixel versions straight from the original source of the leak. Left Lane news: http://www.leftlanenews.com/photos/c...picture-1.html

You can see more detail. Let me know what goodies you guys can pick out!

I doubt they stuck that on there for looks. You can look at it and tell it's been in the wind tunnel for hours upon hours.

It could actually be a brilliant work around. I bet this thing produces some great DF numbers not to have a big wing and splitter.

If so, GM has really outdone themselves.
The only reason the air dam was used on the Vette was for two reasons.

The C5 was a bottom breathing car. The air dam helped push the air from under the car up into the radiator and intake.

The C6 it was used to help push air into the brake cooling ducts.

Other than that the air damn only helps with providing lift on the nose of the car.

Gonna need some small, integrated splash guards behind that front tire to keep from sandblasting the side of car and those gorgeous rear fenders.

The thing that makes the possibility of it being DCT fuzzy is there is no gate pattern shown on the console. Perhaps that's what could be on top of the shift ****.

I'm going out on a limb and predicting they brought the weight in below that of the C7 by a good margin (especially since we just heard it has a CF torque tube).

Right, so two cars, two different reasons. Three cars and...... This car surely looks like it has big brake vents in the front already and is not a bottom feeder. If so, that would mean a 3rd reason.

Aero is a package, on my screen it doesn't even look like the air dam goes all the way across anyways.
