Ho hum......not really blown away by the Z06
Is it just me?
Edit.....
After looking at some of the data at the NCM http://www.corvettemuseum.org/specs/2015/index.shtml, the car is truly impressive.....
Too bad that was not the initial feeling after that live reveal.

Just you, it's because we knew most of what was said a week now. Or a year.

Melting Slicks
Not fond of the makeshift/boxy looking splitter - what was the point. Hope they refine that before production.
Love the wide-body though...

The power has me excited. Looking forward to seeing it in different colors.

The car is great, Ho hum presentation, that's for sure! The lighting with the color didn't show much either.
Man GM really need to work on that, the stingray presentation was lame too.
They need some young guys heading up some presentations or something. These guys are acting like they lost all of their mojo. They don't even seem that excited.
Boooooo.

i had a bunch of people here at work watch it and they all said the same thing. that's it? It was boring barley showed the car no details. I know more about GM as a company then about the new Z. It was lame no excitement even the crowd was dull as the announcer. If you guys think that's exciting you must live boring lives that was borderline bad. No one seemed excited.

Love the looks of the Z06 and not disappointed with the option of an 8 speed auto nor with the standard targa top.

I think it is because the presentation was weak. They had over 30 minutes of convoy footage and then like 15 minutes (did not time) of presentation.
They could have spent more time doing a detail "new tech wrap-up" describing the new aero aids, the new brakes, the wider track, new wheels, engine performance and changes that separate the LT4 from the LT1. Ya the thing looks horny with pronounced scoops and dams but we expected that. The only explanation is that there is too much in common with the C7R and GM didn't want to disclose all of the tech before the new race season.
Generally the presentation was without substance and surely sub-par to the significance of the car. ...and I hate Yellow cars

I'd suggest its just you. Of course naked women jumping out of the cockpit would have been cool too .....
That said...over 625 hp and 635 lb ft of torque running through a choice of two transmissions and open air capability make this a vehicle for those who want it all.
The highest level of downforce of any car GM ever tested in a windtunnel is impressive and the fact it lapped faster than the previous king. ...the c6 ZR1 is amazing as well.
Of course personal preference is just that personal choice...so thanks for posting your opinion..
now its time to get to the threads by all the DCT enthusiasts so we can see their heads explode..
