C7 Z06 500 cars?
I was wanting to order one and the dealer wasn't ready to take it.
Then said those will limited to 500 for 2015 and 2000 for 2016.

I think your dealer is drunk and doesn't know anything yet.

My dealer told me that GM was only going to build two Z06's and he was planning on keeping one and would sell the other one to me for only $1,000,001. I'm really excited about owning one of only two cars to be built.

In before thread lock.
1. Some dealers know what's up, but unless they are one of the more reputable dealers like the regular ones on this forum, they likely know little to nothing, even if they say they talked to their "rep".
2. Dealers are looking for a sale, and as was said in another thread that you posted your "insider info" on, they are probably looking to drum up a few non refundable deposits in hopes of screwing a few customers over with artificially inflated pricing due to their "limited production figures".
3. This early in the game, especially 1 year away from anyone even having their hands on a Z06, it's far too early for a dealer to even know what kind of production numbers will be available since I doubt GM corporate has even figured out the numbers.
4. Which dealer is giving you this nugget of info? Or is it a secret.
5. The ZR-1 when released was a far more exotic and limited production model than the Z06 will be but sold over 1400 in it's first year run. To believe that GM will limit the production of a car over an entire year to 500 examples when the C6 Z06 sold over 14000 in it's first 2 years of existence is tin foil hat worthy.
I could go on but the point has been made. Don't believe anything your "local" dealer tells you especially when they say something as ridiculous as a Corvette model will be limited to 500 cars. To put that in perspective the La Ferrari, a $1.4 million hyper car, is limited to 500 units...are you really gonna believe that a GM car is as exclusive as that?

The dealer's don't even have a build sheet or pricing for the Z yet. They can't take a deposit yet, but may, who knows?
I was told around March to get a build sheet and deposit on one.
