I talked to a dealer on 5/30 and he had heard nothing. He sells a few corvettes too. He isn't the largest corvette dealer but will have some Z06 allocation.

My son & I are trying to find a dealership that can sell us a new Z06/Z7.
A lot of my customers are Dealers and the Regional GM for Corvettes is a friend. They all at least have the same story: They will let us know when and how many. GM Marketing will squeeze every drop of intrigue out 2015. Look what they did with the 2014 Stingray, the Best selling car for 2014.....
There's only going to be 550 produced in the first year, so they are going to be a hot commodity and hard to come by. Many dealers are going to be sorely disappointed and left hanging for the 2015 model year.

550 seems extremely low. Where are you getting this information from??????
Our Dealer just called and said ; no Z06 allocation for his Dealership. We have a member of our Club that buys a new Z06, ZR1 and a Grand Sport every year or when new ones are released. And that is not all. He also matches them with a new Camero. Crazy, but true and he keeps all of them.
He buys wherever he can find them. Told me Saturday at a Corvette show that we should not believe the "only 550" for 2015.

A well placed executive relayed that to my dealer, who is likely not going to be able to obtain any allocation in spite of very successful sales this years they just had the GM folks out to discuss the issues with the allocation system and this is what they were told.
Makes absolute sense... How many do you thing they can squeeze out on the same assembly line that they are pumping 30k 2015 coupes and verts?

Since we are just speculating & jawing, let me add this; I was raised in a Chevy Dealership in a small town. GM is always going to go to the big markets first with any volume. All of the Dealers around East Texas usually don't even try to sell Vettes, because the people with money and fast Lane living are in Dallas or Houston, so GM thinks.
Their are exceptions; A certain Dealer in a town of 3,000 sold 44 Stingrays this year. He always gets Corvettes. On my way this morning to press him. Oh, and I live in a town of 20,000 and we have over 50 Vettes and counting. No GM Dealer.....

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
