Z06 Aero Levels
Does anyone have any pic's of the the 3 aero levels for the Z06 ? Do they all have the front fender black plastic extension for the wider tires ? I wish GM would have just provided a proper front fender for the Z06 that would accomodate the wider tires.

The "front fender black plastic extension for the wider tires " are called spats. Nothing I have seen shows any Z06 without them...regardless of the aero level. Many of us feels as you do...the spats don't look as nice as a "proper" front fender. My guess is the spats will be on all MY 2015 production Z06. Hope I'm wrong!

They should off a zero aero package with no front splitter no spats and simply use a narrower/rim tire if they can't make the fenders wider to accommodate a bigger rim/tire.
The c6 z06 of course didn't have a splitter or spats.
I HATE THOSE SPATS!
I may consider removing the spats /front splitter myself if its doable and maybe you could get by with just a narrower tire on the factory rims.

Sounds just like the big brouha ha over the vents that are adjacent to the tail lights that have a " drooping " effect if you will, on all but the black or maybe cyber gray, where they dissappear as they blend into the body color. Guess what. The vents stayed. So for those who don't care for the spats, probably best to just " get over it". Unless a HUGE number of buyers hate something and affects sales, in blunt terms, nobody cares what you, me, or anyone else thinks.

I worked for a very well known international company for decades. The company was the market leader for MANY of their product lines. Even so, there were times when customers were very vocally asking for a change to a widget, and the product manager stood fast insisting he/she was right. Even when we started losing sales for that particular widget!
Crazy world.

I haven't seen the car in person...yet! I'm neither in love nor do I hate the spats. They are growing on me. But, it could of been done better I think (see the C7R).
What really looks tacking n my eyes is when the spats, winglets and splitter have noticeably different material/texture/finish.
If GM doesn't change this, I'd guess the aftermarket will fill the void.

I agree
If I remember correctly, from the reveal in Detroit, I think it's a dedicated fender. I know I post that info in a thread here in January.

Yeah I could be wrong, but it does make me wonder why they made them so large if they replaced the fender anyway...they could have built that into the mold. Maybe it's for ease of replacement if you have contact with a foreign object, like a blue BMW M3

I believe the front C7 Z06 fenders are indeed different than the Stingray fenders. The front bumper appears to not be unique. Why spats instead of more customized front fenders is a mystery to me.

So the new z06 are simply bigger so more noticeable depending on which color is chosen.
They are not a deal breaker to me anyway would still buy the new z06
but guess am just in the camp that would rather see bit larger fender and smaller or no spat.

I thought I saw a youtube video with a TSG colored Z06, where the "spat" was the same color as the the body of the car. If I remember, I thought it was a good alternative to the black spats I have seen on some of the other colors. I can't access youtube on my office computer, so forgive me if I am wrong on this. Regardless, I am trading my C7 for a Z06 as soon as it's available. It will be my birthday present to me for my 70th year!! LOL

Guys are still complaining about this. Its been discussed a thousand times already. If the front were made to completely cover the tires.. the front of the Z06 would like this:

Scraping the splitter.
