Does anyone have knowledge of what options were under constraint in this last consensus for stingray orders? Besides the Z07 package and aero pieces I can't think of any options that would would be Z06 specific, thus giving some insight into what if any we will be dealing with.
Btw. I have seen in the dealer section where there are ordered stingrays with a late October TPW, so we are looking at early November at the earliest for the first Z's being glued together.

Zymurgy posts constraints each order cycle in the C7 General forum. Here is the thread on the September 11 Constraint Report for TPW October 6::
Thanks for this info. I didn't realize it was an ongoing thread.
Comp seats not constrained is good news.
Painted roof at 35% is bad
Do I understand this correctly... When my allocation is accepted and if I select an option that is under constraint (in this case the painted roof) are you rolling the dice between receiving it or completely losing the allocation all together. Under this scenario with the demand for the Z I can't see anyone or any dealer risking the possibility of losing the car. Seems that there should be a way to try to get your preferred option/s but also be notified in time to make changes if they are not available for you.
I really dislike the clear top (from inside the car)
Really strikes me as odd that of all the tops, that the top painted same color as the car is in short supply.
Yes, I find the whole roof issue beyond explanation.
I can understand that exposed CF roofs can be an issue because they are difficult to manufacture. But the others? How can GM not have a reliable supply roofs? The not perfect CF roofs just become painted roofs. And why can't GM secure all the transparent roofs they need?
It means none available. .. not surprising since the Z06 isn't available either.
You can order CFZ on a Stingray too, it isn't unique to the Z06. It's part of the Pacific Package too. The constraint applies to the Stingray, since we haven't seen the Z06 constraints yet.

My understanding (which may be flawed) is "yes". The way I read this is that 35% of the accepted orders can can have the painted roof, 25% can have the visible carbon fiber, and 100% can have the transparent roof. I assume there is some degree of give-and-take in the acceptance process to allow dealers to make a last-minute substitution or to trade or defer the allocation but I have zero knowledge about that process. I assume dealers would opt to submit orders without constraints over those that have them, regardless of other priorities.
However, keep in mind that we are looking at the Stingray constraints, not the Z06 constraints (which we haven't seen yet).

My mistake... didn't know it was an option on the Stingray.

Hopefully they are constrained on the Stingray to 'save' them for the Z06 production!
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
