Interesting that you were able to do that before delivery. I thought it took a physical press of the Onstar button from within the car to activate the OnStar service, thus allowing you to track it...

Apparently not the case??

I guess my dealer already activated On-Star. I just called to give OnStar my VIN in order to start the service and they said that I already had an account. I then created an Online Account with the ID that they provided and installed the OnStar app on my phone and wala! Sitting is OH with 3 miles on ODO.

I was tracking mine daily since it was activated 10 days ago. Now for 48 hours the car can't be found and chat says the same thing. Only thing I can think of is that the battery died.

Did you try to disable and re-enable your location services on your phone\tablet? That worked for me when I received the same error.

That's what I did, had the dealer activate it. Tracked for 3 days until it finally arrived at my dealer. Had lots of fun doing it.
