I was on the GM 'build my corvette' site and since the Z06 option is being fixed, I just built a 3LT vert as if it were to be a Z06. One of the options was chrome 'directional' wheels and you could get them with or with tires. wtf.
It sounds odd to say the least or I don't understand something. I could not find any further description or pictures of the wheel. I'm pretty sure its illegal to sell a car without tires.
I have the Z07 package with the cup tires. I was really worried about them at first but i"m beginning to like them. They hop when you steer tight areas slow, they do not like the cold and will wear quickly on hot asphalt. With this package you get a lot for the buck. They are a track tire more than a road tire. I am gonna buy a new set of wheels and try to save the cup tires for a track day. The carbon ceramic brake are awesome as well. This is a nice setup with 3LZ package. And should be a big option for resale later when they build a mid engine Vette soon.
Okay, I have spoken to a couple of dealers and think the best way is to go into the dealership and place and order. The dealer I chose has just become an authorized Corvette dealer. From what I'm reading between the lines it most likely would be a 2016, I just have no idea when. So my issue is will the colors and options available (or not) be known now?
Okay I'm ordering on Monday, when can I expect delivery?
If I do the museum delivery will I get it quicker?
When do I pay for it if I do museum delivery?
