Default Xpel's Stealth Matte on Laguna Blue

Just had my car doctored up with Xpels stealth matte wrap on my Laguna blue Z06. Another small change, the calipers were powder coated gold and it was lowered on stock bolts. Aero kit should be here soon.

The Xpel appears to be very dull with little shine. Is that the intent?

its matte finish. Supposed to make the paint look like a matte color. Ever see matte black or BMW has some matte (they call them frost) colors. Stunning in person

That is the intent of matte. Creates a cool look. Hard to make a c7 look bad, however the glen e soaking wet gloss look is the best for me.

I would drive the shi$ out of this matte one however and the best part is you can remove it!

Ahh.. That's what I thought. It has its own neat appearance... I will be getting the XPEL added to mine but won't be going for the "Matte" look. Still like the shine, though I have to admit it still looks great..

Looks great, and another awesome feature of the matte finish is that you don't have to wax it along with the fact that it is 8 mils thick, instead of the usual 'wrap' thickness of 2-3 mils, so you've got the same protection as a normal, non-matte, wrap. Finding the right installer is so important for this type of clear bra also as to make it look as if the car was painted this color, you need to be able to remove parts, apply the wrap and then re-install, etc.

Approximate cost? About $6K?

I did not know that the "XPEL ULTIMATE" was even offered in matte vs gloss. I just thought it came only one way. Very interesting.

I was quoted $3K to $3500 from several recommended places in NJ for a full wrap color change (3M - which is some of the best for colored wraps). I would expect this to cost the same. I certainly wouldn't pay more.

Love it!!! With all the money you're going to save on car care products the Xpel will pay for itself!

This is not not a thin wrap film, it is the same 8 mil film that all clear bras are, except it has a matte finish. So I'm sure the cost of the product is more. Plus you really do get what you pay for with this type of install. I can't really see a perfect job for $3,500. YMMV.

Looks amazing. I have an OEM matte paint on my CLS63 and I love it.
Is this expel a matte "clear" i.e. it will make the color of the car just look matte or is it a blue matte finish and the OP just had a LG car?

It's a matte finish wrap. It'll make any color have that nice matte finish.
