You're pretty smooth though...you drive clean and always generally seem well ahead of the car. That big *** course leaves a lot of small places for speed but, you do some work in that car. Good job man.
Yes, unless I'm mistaken he and the Black Viper TA were both on Continentals.

Thank you for the kind words. I didn't get a chance to check out the Viper but I see that Truth says he was on slicks. I know that when I was on Hoosiers I was able to catch and pass him.

My understanding is that the Viper in question turns 1:59's on full course which of course bests my best time to date. He's likely a much better driver.

If DSC can really perfect what they're doing, it'd be a heck of a thing for Corvette guys. Having the ability to NOT get the mag ride, which locks you to the tranverse setup/spring rates, but have active dampners...would be pretty sick.

Did they confirm they were working on a Corvette setup Poor-Sha? It appears its all Canbus managed, so I'd imagine it's more about just developing a setup on a car in terms of programming and fitment. That's huge for Viper guys though, who get this kit car of a sports car in some ways.

Yup, several of us have been in contact with them but props to Gary Church for first mentioning it in another thread. As I understand it there will be a replacement for the suspension control module and an option for new MR shocks. It will keep the factory springs and sways. It should be integrated with the mode settings in the car and further adjustable via software.

For your Thanksgiving viewing... Put some Hawk pads and Hoosiers A7's on it last Saturday and ran a 1:22.2 at NJMP Tbolt- No chicane.

We ran 315/18 Front and 345/18 rear tires on 18x11F and 18x13R wheels that we use on our C6 GS/Z06 cars. Put Hawk DTC pads on it and gave a lot more confidence under braking.

Slight hiccup at Turn 7 on the fastest lap as there was dirt on the exit, that I tried to stay out of, but went through, the video didn't catch it, as it locked up right when it happened.

The track was clean, fast, cold, no wind, so nearly perfect conditions. I had run another 25.5 on the stock PilotSupersports.

Track: NJMP Thunderbolt (no chicane)
Trans: M7
Driving Mode: all off
Aero Package/Option Package/Setup: Level 1, non-Z07
Tires: Hoosier A7 315/18F 345/18R
Temp: 50*
Coolant Temp: Running about 210* average over the lap
Lap time: 1:22.2

About how the car felt on the Hoosiers. It needs racing seats. The stock seats are not bad with the stock tires (or at least the Super Sports) but the Hoosiers make you slide around too much. Overall not too much change in the balance IMO, but hard to tell when you and the car are moving in different directions.

Video: First lap was a 22.6, followed by some cool off and traffic laps, then the final lap is 22.2

What alignment did you run with the hoosiers and how was the tire wear with that?

Holy crap, that was fast. Will have to get back to Tbolt next year. Maybe I'll get you for some coaching.

We put -2.0 camber in it for the Hoosiers. I only ran 1 session on them with 10 total laps, and only 2 were at the limit. Still in general the Hoosiers like -3.0 up front. Still in messing around/having fun/see what it does/enjoying the heated seats on cold track days/still driving it to the track phase.

Mods: Corsa mid pipe
K&n filter
Pirelli pzero slicks
Hawk hp70 front hp60 rears steel brakes
My custom oil heat shield and cooling mods.

54 degrees sunny

My personal best at this track. Car had only one issue with shocks bottoming out in a few turns. Tire rubbed very aggressive thru the liner into the composite backing.

160 approaching 10...nice! Those brakes work well...car got slowed down with a bit to spare even.

I just realized that's dead ***** even with Milner's time in the z07....exact same time. We need thousands to know the winner...lol.

Attention

Friendly reminder....please stick to format when submitting. If you don't, then I have to take additional time to look at your prior info, so it can be entered properly. There are one or two in here that I haven't added because a simple posting a vid and a time isn't sufficient. Please take the extra moment to cut/copy and paste the format and fill in...it benefits me entering it, those reading it, etc. Much thanks!

SporttPlus's recent addition is a fine example...very nice, orderly, easy to read, etc.

I was just looking at this list and there appears to be an error in the below entry. There is video in the linked post and as I said in the post the 1:16.80 was on Hoosier R7s where as the 1:17.46 was on Cup 2s. Thanks for managing this mess and I'll do better at following the format going forward.

P.S. I've stopped posting screen shots of the PDR data unless there was something new to show. It's just a pain to do.

Summit Point

Layout: Summit Point Circuit

Poor-Sha -- 1:16.8xx -- M7/Z06 stg 2/Cup2/No info provided No details/Vid (Prior 1:17.4xx) Details/Vid
