-Track: Shenandoah Circuit - Summit Point WV
-Transmission Type: Manual 7 speed
-Driving Mode/Settings: Sport 1
-Aero Package/Option Package/Setup: Level 1 Aero / Track alignment
-Tires: Michelin Pilot Super Sport
-Conditions/Temp: 81 degrees, dry
-Modifications: aFe CAI with oiled filter, Carbotech XP12 front and XP10 rear, RBF 600 fluid, 50% of coolant drained and replaced with water and water wetter.
-Notes: Video is of my third session, cut short by 10 minutes due to late start with issues in previous group. I ran this track in 3rd and 4th gear during this session. 2nd session I ran 2nd and 3rd and overheated about 11 minutes in. I haven't downloaded Cosworth Toolbox yet but will post pics of data once I do. I am coming from an AWD car with much less power so I kept the nannies on, this was my first track event in the car. Had a lot of fun, but disappointed that running in lower gears got me too hot. I believe 1:44 was my quickest lap of the day.
Cosworth Data for session in video:
Cosworth Data for session when I thought I overheated:
After seeing the data on the lap where I thought it overheated, it looks like oil got up to 268 at the most. I am thinking it may have been the computer getting upset with increased airflow due to the aFe intake. 268 isn't that high.

I will be at two tracks this weekend - Friday at PittRace and Saturday at Nelson Ledges - The weather forecast is a high of 54 Friday and a high of 70 Saturday, so I am not sure if I will have any problems with heat, but I will try to get the videos and stats up by Tuesday of next week.

Thanks everyone for contribution on this page so far...all added.
Greg Quillen...you must be getting a good feel for this car, you've tracked quite a bit. I like your results so far...you are going by the book on the cooling system prep. Have you ensure the intercooler circuit is bled properly, as Tadge suggested, as well?
I have to say, we've heard a lot of talk about the 86F benchmark, and thus far, while guys are getting hot, the over temp seems held off until the mid 80's somewhere...but that 86F margin seems at the LIMIT, not more of a benchmark like Tadge may have suggested.
What you have to say so far...what are your feelings about the car overall...I'm curious.

Getting a good feel for it Lil by Lil. It Is a great car. Constantly hanging with cars on r compounds or track suspension except where their skill trumps my skill lol..
I lowered the front half an inch. Kept rear at stock height. Rotates slightly more . I'm try it one more track day see how i like it.
People with cooling issues run 80% water in radiator. Then Go from there to removing weather stripping.. wrap exhaust manifolds to cats (my next step)
Im install the carbotech XP12 brake pads tomorrow if i get time. Next track day sunday at thompson again
. Hoping to knock a second. I made a lot of mistakes ...I'll just blame it on being tired lol im full of excuses

I must be doing something wrong - I went to Track then selected the third setting "Sport 1" - Just got back from checking - I was moving to the Sport 1 setting and then using the mode select **** to "enter" my choice - apparently things then went back to just Track mode. I will have to remember to adjust at the track - a great future option would be voice commands for starting the PDR recording, setting the start / finish line and choosing the ride selection mode - lots to be thinking about for us newbies rolling onto the track, in traffic and learning all these functions. Thanks for catching that.

1. Get the Rough Track suspension setting that has come out. Your dealer can give you details on that. It's a software upgrade by Chevy.
2. Your tire pressures are WAY too high! I'd aim for no higher than 36 degrees hot pressure. Tires will probably feel "greasy" anywhere over 40 degrees. Invest in a good tire pressure gauge and take pressure out before your next track day. You'll feel a huge difference in confidence and you'll gain LOTS of time per lap.
