I took video, but it all sucks in comparison to the nice PDR with overlay like yours. I can't find the 2:42 lap, so hopefully I don't sound like an internet blowhard that can't back it up
My speeds matched yours except exiting corners where you clearly accelerate faster. I do 132 at the start/finish, 150 into 1, 45 in 5, 95 in kink, etc. Coming into turns 3 and 8 I hit the rev limiter at 105 mph and should upshift to 4th but never do because as soon as I did I'd have to go right back into 3rd. I'd would be nice to have C6 Z06 gearing
This year I had brand new Michelin pilots SS non run flats and took 5 seconds off of last years best time.
Here is a 2:47 from last year with factory good year run flats.

I was doing a Corvette tribute event at Road America in 2011. I was coming through the kink when I saw a C5 Z06 explode into pieces right in front of me. He unloaded the car on the rumble strip, got sideways and did some wheel flailing...finally lost it and ping ponged off the walls. I avoided him just barely, and got some debris damage to my car but...it was quite a sight. C5Z shed its body front and rear but the guy was fine. People in the paddock all the way by the front straight said they heard it clear as day.
I would've had it all on video but my damn gopro was on the floor of my car as it had fallen off from an "experimental" spot I decided to try for a better driver/outside view combo.
Road America is one of the best, but with a lot of speed and some unforgiving spots you can definitely foul a car up...lol.
This was actually the lap it happened...he was in front of me...I'm in the 69 blue beast

Dayum I hate seeing that. Deffinately respect the kink. There is more rail rash on the right side than the left, probably from guys over corecting.
I heard of a group who rented RA a while back and set a speed limit of 85 mph in the kink and they used radar to enforce it, but I dont know who it was.

Guys, I need to be clear on if you're driving Z06's, Z51's or base models...your leather interior doesn't matter...lol.
Please indicate Z06, Z51 or base and what level aero.

Great seeing all these tracks nationwide. The Pittsburgh Int'l Raceway looks very cool, and I didn't know Lime Rock was so small (or the Z06 just makes it look small).

Yeah, Pitt was formerly Beaverun...it was ok, and I went there often. It was owned by a group of investors and was VERY poorly managed and frankly it barely survived for many years. The entry road was in shambles because of a dispute over who should pay for it. Karting honestly got more attention there than anything.
Finally, Jim and Kathy Stout bought it...they race two purple Viper Competition coupes...I'd met them first in 2011 (if I recall), but prior to their purchase. They bought Beaver and have done some cool things...the biggest being the addition of the southern "leg" which added a HUGE amount of diversity to the track and elevation variations.
Many don't know, but Kathy is also co-owner of VIR now, and they also own NARRA I believe. I see a Panoz/ALMS recipe forming....

Silver State Classic Challenge
The May event is actually called the Nevada Open Road Challenge (NORC) The September race is the SSCC event. Same course on HWY 318, 30 miles south of Ely Nevada.
This is an 90 mile open road racing event where you are trying to get as close to a perfect time for your speed class. I was in 150 mph class and missed the perfect time by 1.15 seconds because my new navigator started his stop watch late. You will hear two distinct stop watch beeps in the PDR. The person that won the 150 mph class missed by .002 seconds. When I went to shift into 5th I missed the gate slightly (too much side pressure) and tried to put it in 7th. Left it in 6th for a while to see how the car and engine felt. Then I shifted into 7th. Ran the course in the Sport handling setting.
2015 C7 Z06/Aero 1/7M/Stock Michelin Super Sports tires -- Car prep:
Increased the cold air pressure to 36 psi for the sustained 150 mph run.
Harness bar with 6 point
Attached fire extinguisher
The Z06 ran great. No problem holding 150 in 7th gear.
Cosworth Toolbox info:
Max water temp: 212
Max oil temp: 223
Max trans temp: 291
Max tire psi: LF 39.5 RF 40.0 LR 40.6 RR 40.0
Max tire temp: LF 106 RF 111 LR 108 RR 109

New Fast lap for NJMP Lightning 8-23-15 1:13.5
Track: NJMP Lightning
Transmission Type: M7
Driving Mode/Settings: Track - PTM Sport1
Aero Package/Option Package/Setup: Stage 2
Tires: MPSS 27PSI cold
Conditions/Temp: 85-88 low humidity
Overheat warning/failure if any: None
Best Time of the day/Session achieved: 1:13.5
Modifications: Track alignment, Overfill 15w50 oil ~1/2qt
Notes: Car ran great overall the entire weekend. One 25 min session, it did climb up into overheat territory, but I forgot I had the AC set to 65. It max at 255 after 20mins of driving.
The fast lap time could've been even better, I had to ease up coming out of the bowl, and brake on the front straight before crossing the start/finish.
