Default Price Increase

As of today, all 2015 Corvette coupes, Stingray and Z06, have a $1,000 price increase to the base price.

If you have a car on order, with an order number, prior to today you are price protected. However, if you make any changes to your order after today, you will no longer be price protected.

Any stock unit built from today on will be $1,000 more. Convertibles remained the same.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Dave

Does this mean we can still make a change today and not have to pay the increase?

GM just be greedy. Gm is starting to over price all their cars.

Small bump but interesting to do it mid-model year. Wonder if 2016 brings another increase.

Yes, but make sure your dealer prints out the confirmation of the change that is timestamped today and saves it.

So a new base Z06 will now start at $79,995 with the mandatory $995 destination fee factored in...

Is it actually $1,000 (or $995?) for the increase because the GM build your own site shows a $995 increase.... total = $79,990 for a base no-option Z06. The MSRP is currently still incorrect on the site but the total adds the increase of $995 in.

Be interesting to see what the car will cost me in late fall when I am ready to order. If GM gets close to an F type Jag, the Z is toast.

When I bought my C7 Z51 early 2013 I paid 69k MSRP, GM increased the price and price of options mid year and again when the 2015 came out. A total of 5k in increases for the same equipped Z51
.
I see this happening again with the Z06.

Can't make changes in the GM Order Workbench on Mondays. Try again tomorrow.

List price rarely means anything in any event. If they are going to charge the dealer more, without increasing the holdback, then it means something.

Is that why there are so many on dealer lots still?

Large dealers keep a lot of inventory for hot cars like the Z06!!
They come in and go out in a hurry.

They did the same mid-MY2014, but in March rather than February.

There is about 10% of production available for purchase or in other words 90% of them have been pre sold or sold very quickly and you take that as being a sales problem? This is chevy we are talking about they have to be very happy with that. I think the number available would be even smaller if it wasn't for A8 delay.

GM sells 3000 $100k vehicles in just a matter of months and people still gripe that's it done poorly.

Most are order back outs or dealers in small markets without as many buyers for high end cars.

Does that price increase apply to cars that are currently on the dealer's lots?

I wonder how long MSRP will last with the Z06 not doing so well in magazine tests.
