Default Took A8 Z06 to dragstrip tonight.

It was a rush of a day, literally... Spacers came in I had made and overnighted, ran home bolted up drag radials (not without issues) and took off.

I drove an hour and immediately pulled into the staging and they started running. Car was HOT! I had not even dropped the pressure in the MT drag radials.
I left the line easy and first pass was still in the 10's

Issues delayed second pass but heated tires up good and I noticed the Honda in front of me spewed water out... So they were mopping it up. I was afraid to flash converter and really nail it so AGAIN I did just a nice smooth roll into throttle.

I think the car has a lot left in it. Almost 129mph! I am pleased with that. Will go back friday, then next Friday for a private rental.

Great times for a stock car, MT should really help the 60, but not much, so you doing 1.69 ish 60 foot on a hot car, makes me smile

You should be able to get down to 1.5 ish, and maybe 10.6

What aero pkg do you have ?

My friend with his GTR was on low boost to film me in the right lane. He usually runs 9.7-9.8
I think my times will improve a fair amount.
Thanks
Jason
Also the large flap on the back can't be helping mph looks like a big air-brake. Lol

That's my old GT-R, now owned by a good friend of mine.
It was on very low boost on that pass, and has ran a best of 9.7 at 144-145 mph. He was off his best tonight by ~.3 and ~3 mph.

By way of comparison, there were a number of other GT-R's at the track tonight. A stock DBA car went 11.4 at 123 mph. A bolt-on pump gas DBA car on R888's (intakes, midpipe, catback, fuel system upgrades, tune) ran a personal best of 10.7 at 130 mph (I actually ran against this car in my 911 TT in July). So same-day, same-track the A8 Z06 ran 5-6 mph faster than a DBA GT-R. And it did this on a 28" tire, effectively taking some gear out of the car and with Stage 2 aero.
DA was around ~-400' or so. I'm pretty confident we'll see 130+ out of these cars very soon.

Gotta love it...first story of the A8... Ya driving along, took an hour to get to the track, drove straight in, ran my first 1/4 at 10 and still think it could have done better... eheheh

Why did I order the A8 again?

Would love to see the vid on this!

Great results. I think I was the first to post A8 C7 stingray times, been waiting to see A8 Z06 times

I know the car has much more left in it, If you would have had time I bet it would have done 130.x just with the ECT being cooler and you stabbing the throttle as fast as you can opposed to rolling into the throttle.
