Default About to pull the trigger...

This is the probably the last place I should post this... b/c I know you guys will just push me over the ledge.

Found a dealer that is a couple of hours away that will be getting a Z06 coupe optioned literally _just_ the way I would order it. Laguna Blue, black wheels, red calipers, black 2LZ interior, Stage 1 aero, PDR w/ the obligatory NAV, and (gasp!) an A8 trans.

Fairly no-frills, but that is good for me.

Car was supposed to arrive today, so it will be delivered soon.

Will let you know if it all goes down. The weather here is lousy, and more expected for another week, and I'm not picking it up in bad weather.

That's my exact build request!

If you don't buy it tomorrow, please PM me and I'll fly to TX and drive it home myself. Seriously, I hope you pick it up... But seriously, if you chose not to, PM me.

Good Luck!

DON'T DO IT MAN!!!!!!

Your going to suffer from permanent smile syndrome.
Everybody will be taking videos & pictures of your car.
You will be thrown into your seat like a F15 fighter jet
Car is loud and powerful sounding...Not your typical Honda.
Hot chicks will find you (I mean the car) interesting.
You find yourself WAY over the speed limit and not know it
You will force yourself to wash/wax & wipe her down even if she doesn't need it for no reason!
You will suddenly find yourself spending more time in the garage with her than your bedroom.
Long cold days feel like years
I can go on and on buddy....Dont be like us...Its painful!

Just to offer a different less popular opinion - Why not wait for a 2016 model? Production begins in just over 5 months from now. And if you are experiencing bad weather currently, as most of the country is, that time is even more insignificant.

There will be definite changes that, even if minor, will be an improvement. First year cars are usually the buggy ones. Plus any changes/updates will be announced at the Bash in April in about 6-7 weeks. I highly doubt that they will cancel Laguna Blue as that seems like a very popular color.

Good luck either way.

Since it's exactly the way you would have ordered it, unless you are waiting for a 2016, seems like a no brainer to buy it. Many of us are waiting to order a 2016, but if a 2015 showed up exactly the way I wanted in the near future at my dealer in NH( Macmaulkin), being a vette junkie, I very well might lose control and buy it.

That's my dilemma as well..
I found a dealer with an allocation out of state that will order my car to spec and can have it in May, or do I wait until late August to September for a 2016? By using an out of state dealer I will have to ship my trade in and have my Z07 shipped to me, which will add approximately $1400 to the deal but I would get to have the car sooner to enjoy it. Although once the 16's are out 3-4 moths later, I would now have a year old car which will take further depreciation hit!
Decisions, decisions....

Always someone have to throw a wrench into things... j/k. You have pinpointed my only reservation on this transaction.

I was indeed planning to wait for a '16, but this one popped up, and since it has _the_ options (and no more... I do not want to spend $15k on options I do not want/need) I want, it piqued my interest.

Bad weather is just an anomaly here in N. Texas right now... once the sand gets washed off the road in another week, we could easily dry out and have 70^ and sunny for 3 weeks in a row.

Others who have mentioned depreciation... that is minor. I'm trading my CTS-V, so if I wait 8 months, it will have depreciated more, too. And for cars I really like, I tend to keep them a long time (see sig for a 13yr old car and a 10yr old truck).

A-Pex... I will PM you with details if I don't buy the car, sir. Salesman seems helpful enough. The car has not arrived yet, but it should be shortly.

Wait 6-7 months.

-Car will have been out a year, should be discounted below MSRP. Possibly by 10%

-2016 year changes if they are smart-
larger radiator/cooling

Make the dealership work for it and offer $1-2K less than msrp and see if you can get a better deal. If not maybe it will help you make your decision! Let us know how you do
