Z06 Ahead of the Ferrari 458 by a Nose

Seems like the bashing of Ferrari are from none c7 z06 owners and guys that can't afford Ferrari. Having driven both, both are great. The price tag and exclusivity of 458 put it in another league. We are talking about $200k + difference.
Ferrari 458 owner could have bought zr1 and z06 and save a bunch of money and decide not to or have both. The people can't afford it got to post if I can afford it I would do this and that. Well you can't. Not everyone that can afford a ferrari buys one but they are not here bashing others to make themselves feel good.
my experience is a timex watch keep better time than a rolex. Wouldn't you feel stupid if a guy with a timex watch is bashing rolex owners.

Did they win the championship? No? Still an embarrassment then. Ferrari wasn't even in contention for the title they were so far behind.
It's entirely possible. Has the LaFerrari gotten anywhere close to the 918...anywhere? No? LaFerrari hasn't even hit the same tracks as the 918 yet over here even...there's a reason for that.

Keep it coming man, your posts make my day.

Cash value aside, I'd take a LaFerrari or an Enzo, even a 488, but that 458 is fugly. Sorry, but it is. Even the 488 has some ugly geegaws on it, like the vertical splitters in the front intake.
I'm old enough to remember when Corvettes were junk and Ferraris were beautiful. That time seems to have passed.

Safety Car
For the first time ever I can honestly say that a Vette is better looking than a Ferrari. The Z06 destroys the 458 and the 488 in my opinion. I do like the F12, but it should look better than the Z since it cost 3-4x more.

I would have to spend out 401K to get a car I like more than my Z06 and that's not gonna happen. Anyways these are the two Italians that I think are in the same league "looks wise with my Corvette

I am going to give drmustang the benefit of the doubt. That is, I am sure he chose that screen name to indicate that anyone who likes mustangs should go see a doctor.
Now, drmustang is right because that IS a fugly looking Ferrari. The profile view is awkward as hell and the front end looks like it resulted from a developmental disorder at birth.
As for the vette, silver with spectra rims looks menacing and classy at the same time...that is a nice build.

My father bought a $450K car last year and I guess he can afford it as much as anyone. It took a while but he seems to be reaching the (obvious to me) conclusion that it's silly to own a car that costs so much because the car owns you, not vise versa.
Now I like nice cars, very nice cars. But if I can't take my wife to dinner downtown and park it out front, it's just not something I want to deal with.
As far as performance goes, I've been on the track to many times with these exotics to get fooled by that argument. The ultimate track car is a GTS Viper, the rest struggle to keep up with a dialed C5Z ime.
