Z06 Ahead of the Ferrari 458 by a Nose

On looks alone, The vette embarrasses that import. I know, subjective.

The 458 is one beautiful, handling car you can't take that away from it. Unfortunately very expensive and potentially very expensive to maintain if things go South. I chose the Z06 A8 as it is more value for the money, and has no apologies for looks or performance. Being a car guy I make it a point not to be critical of the other great marques as they all contribute to our future cars. If there was no improvements in Hp.,handling, looks, fit and finish we would all be excited about the new fender, the new tire tech. on the 2016 model T Ford! Both are Great Exceptional Cars!

Not so far fetched as U think. some of us could easily buy a Ferrari with not a second look at the bank book, but I personally wouldn't take one over my Z51 let alone a Z06 except if the Ferrari was given to me. That way I'd drive it a few times and then sell it for about $200K and buy a Z06 or Z51, banking the balance.
Most FErraris are horrible in terms of maintenance and are a headache. They certainly garner attention, but they are like blown glass fragile

The performance doesn't justify the price of a Ferrari.
And with all the horrendously painted (Let's just say, the worst of them AFTER Marenello wet sanded them..and shipped them out to customers look like they forgot the clear coat entirely.) cars? It's definitely not in fit and finish either.
Also... Ferrari, is run by a bunch of used douche bags. You can't even paint your car how you want it, without a hand written letter from the Pope.
If I'm shopping Italian, it's Lamborghini all the way, hands down.
Honestly.. I don't think the 458 is aging all that well either. The C7 really makes it look subdued. Hell so do a couple of 911s. (now THAT is sad) any car that costs that much, you're buying to make a statement and to make a splash...and I don't think the 458 really does that. Somewhere after the F50, Ferrari seems to have lost their way in the style dept.
