Default --RELEASE-- LG Motorsports C7 Corvette Billet Drop Spindle

--RELEASE--

LG Motorsports is proud to introduce our latest Corvette suspension component, the LG Billet C7 Drop Spindle!

These spindles will allow you to lower your Corvette 1 full inch over stock while maintaining correct control arm geometry and shock travel. Now you have more room to play with on ride height adjustment on your factory leaf spring, or choose our G2 coil over kits for even further adjustments!

These are especially great for those with the magnetic ride shocks, as you can now have more height adjustment without disrupting your shocks or height sensors!
  • 1" lower than stock
  • No loss of shock bump travel
  • No loss in proper control arm geometry
  • stronger wheel bearing mount
  • stronger brake caliper mounts
  • less deflection on track
  • Retains all OEM mounting points for brakes, bearings, sensors
  • Bolt on install
  • Lower center of gravity for increased performance

MSRP $2995.95 for the set of four
Dealers welcome

Question for you sir. I know you guys use these on your race car, correct? There has been discussion/speculation on this board of the new Z "dragging" all over the track when lowered this much.(curbing skirts and chin, showing pics of full compression under load, etc.) Can you offer first hand opinion on this?

I'm curious about this as well, notice how slammed lawdogg149 car is in the below pic. Granted he's loaded up the suspension pretty good at Road Atlanta but what if he had this product. What adjustments would need to be made in order to maintain a safe usable ride height.

Agreed. It looks like the car could handle a higher spring rate, that's for sure. Wonder if the Z07 package would compress so much at that particular corner? Doubtful as the spring rates are higher OEM.

As we found on the C5/6 platform you quickly run out of travel on the shocks when you are setting up a race/track car, not only that but you get into some odd happenings in the suspension geometry when you try to lower the car to a 'track car height' setup.

For some, they will use these for the 'slammed' look and that is one way to get the car there. For those doing full track cars, you are going to be doing larger sway bars, bushings, coil overs....so like anything it is another piece, another tool to make your car quicker and dial it in.

I would do sway bars on the car first thing out, in fact that was the first piece we designed for the cars (by the way the Z06 and Z51 use the same bar). We did the bars first, because the car did lean so much in the high speed corners, especially with a track tire on it.

We do offer coil overs for the C7 as well and that is yet another piece to dial the car in.

Anthony, I have been riding on drop spindles, for pickups and classic cars, for over 30 years. I have always felt it was the best way to lower a vehicle for performance or for looks. While still maintaining wheel travel. On some of the spindles for pickups you lose a slight amount of wheel cut or sometimes the track width is slightly increased. I was wondering if you were able to maintain factory specs on wheel cut and track width on your spindles? Especially track width? Just wondering if any special consideration will have to be given to wheel offset in order to keep wheels and tires tucked up under the fenders with no rubbing? Will factory wheels fit no problem? I realize that if track width isn't increased, the previous questions are mute.

Because there are so many wheels, brakes, and uses for the cars we kept the track width on them OEM spec. If you start changing that and the customer already has an aggressive fitment wheel setup, then the spindle change causes to many other issues. This way they are a direct replacement for what is on the car.

Installed a set on our C7 Z07 package car.

Ride height dropped one inch with no other modifications. You can lower the Z07 cars another 1/2" front and 5/8" rear on the stock adjusters, or raise slightly as well. The Z06 (non Z07) cars have almost 1" front and rear to lower the car over stock (due to spring change between the cars I would assume).

I have more sets shipping to customers now.

Bone stock C7Z51 compared to our C7Z06 with LG drop spindles and lowered on factory bolts (as low as it can go without coil overs).

Those of you on the HotRod Power Tour can see some in person along with some killer ForgeLine wheels.

The ForgeLine C7Z06 is on the tour right now so be sure to stop by and talk to Dave and check out the car!
