I am in the process of doing the lemon law as i have had the check engine light, service rear axle light , service abs lights plus the warnings in the dash read out more than 4 times the dealer could not resolve. The ABS and stabilitrak do not work when the lights are on and despite all the service reports stating everything is working, verbally the GM rep and service manager told me it is a software problem. Yes, and it is also a safety problem being swept under the rug by the company that had how many die from ignition switch problems before they did something????
Between the orange peal paint, have to slam the hood and rear hatch to close, can't fill with gas at certain stations due to nozzle cut off, all the electrical problems, infotainment system issues, etc. the corvette is like an unfinished kit car. I want my money back and will get one once it is a production ready car.

I am vin# 1751, took the car out over the weekend, stopped for gas about 20 miles from home. Started the car up and got the Service Rear Axle message, drove about five miles and checked other items, eLSD read all zeroes. The car was missing badly and back fired several times, do not know how ignition and rear axle are connected. Stopped the car and let set 5 minutes, started up Service Rear Axle message gone drove a few more miles and then received a blinking check engine light, car drove normal. Got home turned off again, let set and turned back on, all messages gone for the time being. Will take to dealer tomorrow. Only concern is that a few more people had the same codes, Service Rear Axle and CEL together. Do not know if this may be a common problem and not sure how the two are related.

Same problem here. Took to dealer and they tried to blame it on my curb alert/AL Priority system, which is preposterous! The CEL goes away after sitting over night.
I was wondering if anyone had this problem taken care of yet. I need some "ammo" to go in to the service dept with.
I would appreciate any help on this.

I am happy with the car and understand there may still be some gremlins hiding around and hopefully those will be corrected. It may just be a coincidence that several people are getting a Service Rear Axle message and a CEL that comes and goes. There may be something common here and would be good to know.

Changing fuel injectors for a service axle issue? Uhhh, wut? In the engineering world, electronics have what’s called an infant stage. That is, they’re more likely to fail really early than they are mid life cycle. Hopefully it’s just a bad sensor and your issue gets resolved. Either way, this cars smiles/mile ratio is awesome. Keep us updated on your situation.
Dude, I feel for you. My car hasn’t been giving me anywhere near the issues you described. I have my check engine light come on for the VSS, but that’s it. If I were in your shoes, I’d definitely be lemoning the car as well as having a sour taste in my mouth with GM; this coming from a fanboi. On the bright side, if you don’t want to come back into a Z, there are several other options now coming out including the new ACR, the GT350, and Hell Kitty.
FYI – vipers don’t suffer the same paint issues our cars do. However, since they’re hand painted, just the racing stripe option ALONE on a Viper is $5k. Optional paints are in the order of $10k. Just giving you some perspective. The nozzle issue, I found out is how you stick it in the actual filler neck. If you angle it, it cuts it off more often than naught. Make sure its all the way in, and the splash guard on the fuel gun is level with the gas cap. I’m with you on the infotainment system. When I submitted my car review to JD power, I dinged GM HARD on this. The NAV system is outright retarded, laggy, and inadequate. My wifes 2007 Acura TSX’s system is better than the navigation system in my vette.
Hope everything works out for you.

The tech working on my car opened a case with GM. Apparently there's a code error that they repaired. There's an ECU update made available about 20 days ago that's supposed to resolve this case. Picking the car up this afternoon.
Here's hoping.

The ZO6 is at the dealership now. After reading all the posts, I decided to take it back even though I had not CEL at the time.
My dealership is researching in to it as we speak. I emailed the Service Manager some of the links on the forum, including this one, detailing the "Service Rear Axle, Stabilitrak and CEL" issues I've encountered over the past week.
I dropped it off yesterday and they immediately dug in to it. Nothing was found as of last night. The Sales Manager said he will escalate the issue to GM Engineering as soon as his tech goes through his list of "could be" problems triggering the CEL.
I hope to know more today.
I will keep y'all posted.

Tried to get to dealer today but could not because of rain, car sat for several days. Started it up, CEL, Service Rear Axle and Stability Message. Same issue as DSOMonster. See what I can find out and if we get the same answer.

Went to the dealer this morning to see about the CEL code and Service Rear Axle and Stabilitrak message. They diagnosed it as being a Bad Injector Number 3. Have to order parts and leave it. Just did not feel comfortable with their diagnosis since reading the other comments on this thread. Took the car home for the time being and will park it until I talk with someone from GM. Just not sure what is in common with these three problems, can understand Service Rear Axle and Stabilitrak but how are they related to bad injector and is the injector truly bad?

Tell you what I found out true or not, apparently one of the robots on the assembly line was clipping the spark plugs wires just enough to unseat them from the ignition coils. Not completely pull them off but not secure in place. I removed the ignition coil covers, removed all ignition coils, reseated spark plug wires into coils and then re-attached ignition coils. No problems since.
Apparently when the computers sense a loss of power, they start to turn off systems, rear end and traction control. Apparently as the wires were coming off, they set off those errors first before CEL.
Like I indicated no problems since checking and reseating everything.
