Default Owner could do it at home on the car.

Does anyone make a decal that would stand the heat that looks like the 'top' pic coil cover one above? That one would work with any color car because it matches well with the OEM coil cover color & supercharger lid.

The owner 'could' also spray the coil cover and decal with a coat or two of hi-temp clear from a spray can for that professional look.

I have a set ordered for my 2018 Z06. The only mention I've seen addressing scratch protection is covering them with painter's tape. When I do this to mine, I'm hoping the paint doesn't peel off with the tape. The other worrisome problem is the PCV valve removal without breakage. They say......run the engine until warm and twist 90 degrees clockwise pulling out. I'll see when mine get here. Good luck

Pete shoot me a price for the pieces in post 328 (torch red, same detailing) for my 2016 Z06 auto trans. Also for a set of fluid caps to match. Please list pieces quoted.

I used self adhering film like the kind movers use to wrap furniture, etc. You should cut a piece of film to fit the shape of the cover edge-to-edge as close as you can without overwrapping the edges. If you overwrap the edges, film removal will be difficult once cover is in place. With cover in place remove film before securing. If you don't have access to mover's film any similar film material will work, eg., several layers of "Cling Wrap" or "Press n Seal". I would not recommend using painter's tape.

Had my Assistant (aka wife) help with the driver side re-install to keep parts from scratching. Just move as much of the piping, etc. as you can out of the way and go slow. I didn't scratch anything putting them back and didn't use protective tape. The PCV valve comes out fairly easily if warm enough. Just heat it up a little with a heat gun or even a hair dryer and twist it clockwise like mentioned. Just be patient with it and don't pull with too much force if it doesn't want to move right away. I was worried with this too but it wasn't a big deal.

I usually recommend putting painters tape on the covers while installing. This works like a charm.

LouD at reply #435 would not recommend using painter's tape, but here's "the Man" Pete, who creates these beautiful additions to your engine compartment, telling us to always use painter's tape. Pete.....is there any chance of the tape peeling the paint off your products? Thanks for clearing this up, Pete.
